Use your credit card/ prepaid card to scrath off the old TIM first, then put a little arctic cleaner on a cloth or tissue then clean the heatsink base and cpu/gpu IHS... laugh.gif

AS Ceramic also need sink in time...as stated in the manual. My Pentium D without oc already get 48C (lowest) while idle... biggrin.gif

Refer to the manual lor...the best way will still be the grain rice method...let the HSF to spread it evenly... thumbup.gif

Just re-install my Noctua NH-12F into 180 degree, now have better air flow and the idle is around 44-47C...still waiting for AS5 to sink...hope the temp can drop to at least 38C or lower... drool.gif

You will know it when the next time you take out your HSF to clean... laugh.gif

If you use HSF to spread it, suppose to be spread evenly...unless your HSF can't give enough presure to it which I don't think will be the case... icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok..But does all kind of TIM should be working this way?Cause i have seen the TR Chill Factor from TR website, and the site is recommending the user to spread the paste using a card all over the proc instead of the rice grain + spread using cooler way. When i get my TR, should i follow the AS5 method or use back what TR recommend?
