I got 2 cap palang thermal compound which are worth 2-3 bux average...

1. Stars-700 10% metal oxide compound
Thermal Conductivity: >7.5W/m-k
Thermal Resistance: <0.06oC-In2/W

2. Stars-200
Thermal Conductivity: >0.95W/m-k
Thermal Resistance: <0.229degrees-In2/W

so which is better...? hmm.gif
*
the thermal conductivity of the first thermal compound seems better,
not sure bout the thermal resistance. laugh.gif

all in all, the first one should be better biggrin.gif

thats why i said it technically similar....not in real world performance...if can get close to as5 good aledi..as long as can beat zalman..lol....all hail artic silver, (fanboyism..lol.) ..happy holidys...

i recall, some time back, there was this other TIM.
liquid mercury if im not mistaken and it was supposedly better than AS5, but it had a negative effect on copper.
i suppose that is one of the best TIM's around. but only for alu surfaces if im not wrong

i said thatm as6 is coming out....  anyway , so far only one review so we dun know anything yet, wait, i will test the tr paste after my exams. one left, econs
*
if there is a AS6 coming out, that would definately explain why lowyat doesnt have AS5 at all.
since that happened, i need to find alternatives for my AS5, since the ones in the bulk are all in large tubes rclxub.gif

why don't use thermalpaste?
*
doubt the heatsink will stick to the MOFSETS if you use thermal paste.
plus when you push down the pins, the thermalpaste will ooze out if you apply too much.
