one could transfer heat more effectively while another ineffectively. . ..
which results better heat dissipation and could lower down ur CPU temperature more than the RM10 one ....

Rm 25? u mean Artic Silver? Its polysynthetic silver and conduct heat better. (also conduct electricity) Rm 10 one is ceramic thermal paste.

I think it has something to do with the microscopic material in the compound. As in the smaller the material, the better it will dissipate heat..Correct me if i am wrong..

The difference would not be a great as you are expecting... but here's the deal, for a mere RM15 difference, you might be able to get like 3~4°C.... which is considered a lot! And anyway, for most people thermal paste is only applied once for years! so why hesitate to go for the better?

i think Artic Silver 5 is currently the best thermal compound. u can get a small tube at rm2+ or even big tube at rm5+ like that.

Arctic Silver 5 With its unique high-density filling of micronized silver and enhanced thermally conductive ceramic particles
RM25.00 thermal paste will fill those micro gap at your base of heatsink easily and of course it transfer much better

Would those silver based TIM will normally be better than those ceramic based ones?Or its just a gimmick in using different based type?
Testing the AS5 on my current system for already 140hours++ without turning off my PC.No drop in temperature but no increase as well.Staying at 34-36c..Should i turn it off to see a more significant decrease as i start off at around the same temperature before changing the AS5..
