QUOTE(irangan @ Jan 4 2007, 11:23 AM) you are correct in some sense BUT if you applies the as5 carefully, your card will be fine. remember to use the a drop of grain method when applying the as5. Be careful in the sense of how?Not spilling the AS5 to other parts?I really wanted to apply the AS5 to my GC but i am kinda worried it will spoil my GC...

Just recently changed my thermal paste to the AS5.Waiting for it to sinked in for 200 hours.Current temperature is rated at 33c on idle. Will test full load later...

QUOTE(yehlai @ Jan 6 2007, 03:46 PM) ya la, the heat from the proc will sink the TIM, u need ur pc running 200 hours not after applying it 200 hours... i'm still confuse for the 200 hours, do u need to let it be full load or the idle temp will do the job This post has been edited by E-J@1: Jan 6 2007, 04:05 PM

Well, i dont think we will need to do full load of 200hours.That seems really going to stress the proc alot..lol..Anyway, hopefully the AS5 is going to lower my proc temperature to below 30c.When i applied, it was about 33c.Now, after about 1 full day of applying, its running at 35c on idle...

Its the thermal tape used to stick the heatsink to the nb..You could use those Arctic Cleaner to wipe off the thermal grease or else, proven by other people, you can use those minyak angin... Anyway, does anyone knows the link to any particular site that can show the 3M thermal tape?I need the product name and hopefully will be able to search it out. Many people that i have asked seems blur with what i mean by 3M thermal tape...I have tried searching 3M official site and doesnt really know which one is the one i need.
