Yea I find last year's B7 / C7 be a bit lacking , you have already spent this much for some of the best picture quality , why not a bit more for a proper sound setups ?

Did they fix it on the b8/c8?

They are both pretty loud , the C8 does sound a bit better thanks to the Alpine stand .

Though they are no match to my 5.1 nod.gif

It's almost like a crime if you get one of the best displays ever produced and you don't at least put half of what you spent on a sound setup. Sound is equally if not more important than visuals - it's harder to convince people because sound is a lot more subjective than visuals.

Should be good enough for day-to-day usage. Save the budget for future sound system if you need to upgrade the sound later on. Try experience it yourself though at the shop. I listened to the TV speakers and I found it to be not that bad for a very slim tv like the C8. But of course I'd prefer at least a good Soundbar for my own usage. Home theater system is a no go for me in my current living space.
They still gave last year's free Soundbar to those purchased outside of the promo period, but call LG to double confirm la. I don't think it's an issue for them.

I'm also bought my on 26th Aug... doh.gif doh.gif
Last year free soundbar is which model? Must provide the original tax invoice?
I plan to have my delivery later near Dec 2018. That could be a problem for me even entitled the free soundbar.

I got the SJ8 however I had no experience in using it coz I sold it off. I have a SJ9 though in my JB house and it sounds good in a small room with standard ceiling height for its Atmos effects. Nothing spectacular but for my usage it's sufficient. SK8 I only listened at the shop so can't say much about it.

Got my 65" C8 today. My God it feels huge in my SOHO unit! laugh.gif Though I had one Samsung 65" JU7500 back then, this one somehow feels huge maybe because previous Samsung was a curved TV.

I didn't let the delivery guys installed it for me coz I've read a lot of online feedbacks regarding top panel bending due to bad handling of the panel.

Just received my B8 too. Great TV.
Noticed that the sound through arc act funny.
When play stereo, example YouTube video, main sound sometimes come out from the rear speakers.

Bad handling or panel? You mean some sort of pressing the panel during installation?

Bad handling of the panel. The recommended ways of doing it is actually in the small leaflet when you open the top portion of the box and a lot of YouTube videos are not showing the correct ways of installing the panel to the bottom stand.

I just don't trust other people to handle my OLEDs because of the thin upper portion of the panel plus they'd treat the OLED like some kind of thick LCD. Rough handling, front panel pressing due to not following manufacturer's recommended guides etc. I'll post the snapshot of the leaflet later on.

OLEDs can flex to a certain point. You just have to avoid pressing the panel with pressure.

I've been using the TV speakers for a while now while waiting for my Soundbar and I've gotta say it sounds quite good considering the thin profile of the TV. Got a few sound modes that you can play with, Standard, Dialogue, Cinema etc. Depending on the source it can sound underwhelmed at first eg; dialogues seem muffled but changing the sound profiles improve the experience. Not perfect definitely since there are only TV speakers but good enough to those who don't want or don't have the budget yet to get a proper sound system. My 2 cents.

One thing I notice straight away is its improved motion handling compared to my C7.

SJ8 has very narrow sweet spot dead center for best audio profile in cinema mode. Otherwise just average in my opinion on the sound quality. No experience on SK8
