Purchased mine as well the 65" C8 OLED at TBM together with the unreleased Samsung HW-N950 Atmos soundbar without the upcoming SST.

Somehow they let me book the unreleased soundbar as well which is a good thing. Anyway still have to wait the TV to come because apparently these models are kinda sorted after by consumers maybe to save up on the tax but they told me that they already made orders from LG.

Hope I made the correct decision of buying them all now, just to avoid the SST.

Inclusive of extended warranty that I purchased, yes. Apparently they also provide* 2-type of extended warranties, one is cheaper and one is a bit more expensive. Which one you want depends on you. Ask TBM for more info.

They told me this also. Those who bought close to Sept can claim it also from LG. Those who purchased in Aug can try la. Claim- basis only.

Don't know yet la. Wait for the actual promotion to come out, then there's a form you have to fill up and send to LG Malaysia together with your receipt. I bought last year's 55" C7 bundled together with a free LG SJ8 soundbar as well. After that kena wait like 2-3 weeks before they send out the soundbar. But since it's 'free' why not right. LG Malaysia is the one that gives the Soundbar not the shop where you bought it.

Atmos-supported but simulated only. No idea how that would work when the soundbar itself doesn't have upfiring speakers though those that come with ones, the Atmos effect depends on your house.

Anyway sorry for the off topic here let's stick to the C8 discussion.

Tomorrow SST will come into effect. Some say 6% increase others say 10% increase for electronics.

is c8s built in speaker good enough without getting a soundbar ? saw the unit at best selling 8200

Ordered my B8 on the 26th August, will be delivered on the 4th Sept, hope can qualify for the free sound bar.

How much is b8?

Bought 55 B8 at rm7888 at senq penang if pay by citibank card. Got 12% rebate too from senq for future purchase.
Can't get good price here as some members getting super cheap price in KL and elsewhere.

Should be good enough for day-to-day usage. Save the budget for future sound system if you need to upgrade the sound later on. Try experience it yourself though at the shop. I listened to the TV speakers and I found it to be not that bad for a very slim tv like the C8. But of course I'd prefer at least a good Soundbar for my own usage. Home theater system is a no go for me in my current living space.

They still gave last year's free Soundbar to those purchased outside of the promo period, but call LG to double confirm la. I don't think it's an issue for them.

Depends on if you are wall mounting the TV , the Alpine Stand of C8 actually serves a purpose of redirecting the sound waves from the its 2.2 downfiring speakers & woofers to the audience. It is plenty loud but also delivering good and clear dialogues.

Obviously You can't compare the TV to having a dedicated sound setup , but for people who don't care enough the TV sound better than your average TV.

Although I imagine if you are rich enough to buy an OLED TV , at the very least get a pair of good speakers to complement with the picture quality.

Yea I find last year's B7 / C7 be a bit lacking , you have already spent this much for some of the best picture quality , why not a bit more for a proper sound setups ?
