Anyone know if this is the lowest price in JB? https://www.senheng.com.my/lg-55-inch-b8-ol...v-lg-55b8p.html
I'm actually coming from Singapore to purchase it as the price is a LOT cheaper plus there is a free soundbar. Free soundbar still available? Seems like it's only until 31 Oct. |

Yeah I can use my friend's address in Malaysia so no worries about that. On another note, are the burn in issues real? I've heard ppl saying that after 3-4 years the colors are less bright etc too. Rtings is doing a oled test and it doesn't look too good. |

The soundbar redemption is already over IINM, but LG being LG - they're just gonna keep doing FOC soundbars anyway. It's not even a "promotion" anymore.Yes burn-in issues are real. It's part and parcel of OLEDs, no 2 ways around that. But when or how it happens entirely depends on the usage of the user. I'm still on my 18 months old C7 and I've yet to have any sign of burn-in, I use it as an all round display for PC, gaming and movies. Temporary IR, definitely. But if a user says they've never had temporary IR then they'd be lying through their bunghole or they don't even have an OLED in the first place. For the individual pixels themselves losing brightness (and there fore vibrancy), yes - that too will happen. But for me, I vary my content so much that I'm very certain that every pixel on my C7 are aged pretty close to another - so even on test check patterns, I don't see much variation. I know people who uses their OLEDs to watch only letterboxed movies and after a long while, they'd be surprised to see the top and bottom part of their screens being brighter than the middle part of the screen on a full screen. Point being, just vary your content. |

If u binge watching movies directly from ur usb port and like me. Find it nuisance with some movies have embedded subtitle on it and OFF the subs directly from settings ain’t working. Do this
1) Play your movie 2) Hit Pause. 3) In the Pause menu click on the little arrow on the right hand side. 4) Click on the button that says 'Sub' 5) Click on Internal or External 6) There is the hidden menu 7) On the left is button Sub On/Off. Just a little hidden gem menu options I found out, just sharing to u all |

QUOTE(evad14 @ Nov 10 2018, 08:09 PM) There is no comparison really , they are 2 very different technology . Can you really say an orange is better than an apple ?The Q9FN and C8 are both excellent display screen and among the best you can buy with money as of today . I wouldn't even call them TVs , because they are much more versatile than that . You just need to understand the pros and cons to both technology , so you can get the one more suitable for your viewing habits . They actually retail at a similar price in the other country , the LG OLED TVs are just cheaper in MY than many other places . QUOTE(asciii @ Nov 10 2018, 06:41 AM) The shop for the 1st link is located in Johor..will they deliver all the way to kl? Yes they will , they put it up on Lazada afterall .Any good price from physical store in kl? Wonder if desa home theatre has it.. And to your second question , of course . I saw them (Desa Home Theatre) at almost every single launch event / debut for premium TVs. This post has been edited by Convael: Nov 11 2018, 10:23 AM |
