Yes and no.

If you compare a full white screen on an OLED vs a full white screen on an LED LCD (even with individual backlit zone types), the OLED will consume more power. But idk who in this world buys in an OLED to stare a blank white screen at full brightness in HDR though, so.... yeah that kind of comparison is kinda pointless.

Do you know what is the standard to claim warranty on dead pixel for OLED?
Also, how long is the standard repair for OLED dead pixel once reported?

IIRC it's more than 10 dead pixels then LG will entertain. Also depends on where the dead pixels are located at.

Don't think they'll do anything if dead pixels are at the edges of the screen, unless there's like hundreds of them.

But if center of the screen they'll probably fix it under warranty within a week's time.

Bought my first OLED TV! The LG C4 48" I know, 48" is a little small but its for the bedroom

First impression, it's beautiful but I find the OS a little underwhelming so I hooked it up to my Apple TV 4K and now its perfection thumbup.gif

Also, any tips and tricks for calibrating the display?

You can't calibrate a display without tools. That's like measuring something without a tape/ruler - in other words you're just eyeballing it.

You can however use the correct modes and set up the proper settings for your devices. Enabling ALLM (if you're gaming on the display), set the proper dynamic range (i.e source Limited = TV low), and having the proper backlight level for SDR modes.
Disabling all the unnecessary things like auto-light limiter and ECO mode is also highly recommended.

Now with Senheng warranty (2 factory + 1 senheng) period and yea, there some more than 10 dead pixels at top edge there.

So thinking to apply the warranty and try luck whether can get a replacement or not
Else replace panel <--- i don't want this outcome tongue.gif

One thing i don't like C1 probably is the WebOS is not so responsive sometime, probably 2021 model is the one with the new interface after Blade type WebOS from previous gen.

Truly disappointed with this online seller name KRONOSHOP. I bought an OLED C4 tv with them on early of June. after waiting for 1 weeks I contacted them on lazada to asked the status of my order which they replied saying there is a stock issue from their end due to tv had some water damage and required to wait for next batch(arriving in 2 weeks). I told them okay I will wait and after 2 weeks of waiting I started to asked them what are the status in which thing begin to goes wrong. They stopped replied my message on lazada and I attempt to contact them through WhatsApp which they reply will check on it. after few days with no status update, I again ping them on WhatsApp and they feedback will send the tv on the day in which I will received the order by the next day. So guess what, the next day I received an order cancelled from kronoshop without any status and any information. I am so frustrated because they wasted my time and when I check LG authorised lazada shop, saw similar situation as me. Beware of this seller : KRONOSHOP

Yes I know that's why I trusted them and waited for another 2 weeks. end up they just cancel my order without any feedback even tho the day before they replied will send the tv. so I waited 3 weeks for nothing. worst purchase experience ever.

yes I know it is preorder when I order. I did not expect tv to arrived in few days. From kronoshop they did told me need to wait within 2 weeks due to stock issues. However, two weeks is passed and when I follow up with them they start to ignoring my messages in lazada, I goes looking for them on WhatsApp their official phone number in which seller promised me will shipped the tv on the day and tell me I will received the tv next day but then on the next day kronoshop cancelled my order without informing me and no reply at all. For me it's very very bad seller attitude.

either way maybe I am unlucky. but did saw some other buyers had similar case as well. sad.gif
