Looking for stove-top kettle, currently narrowed down to 2, Hario Fit and Timemore Fish Pure...
Both around the budget I aimed for which is around 150.
1 advantage of the Timemore is that it can swab the lid with thermometer, not sure about the Hario though.
Anyone has any experience with these 2? Or which do you guys think is better?

Hi guys I'm new into this coffee stuff, I already have V60 and aeropress. Currently thinking about getting espresso equipment.

Combo:
1) Flair Pro 2 + 1zpresso k plus = around 1.8k
2) Gemilai CRM3605 + df64 = around 2k

Any sifu can advice? any form of advice would be appreciated ☺️

@YH820 has already highlighted the operational difference between your two options. This really has a big bearing if you routinely pull many back-to-back shots.

However what is not mentioned is that the Flair can do pressure profiling. There are many who just prefer the taste profile of such machines, which otherwise would cost multiple times this budget.

I guess it depends on how much your focus is on the espresso itself.

How about you get the Flair and the DF64? And eat Maggi only for a month?

DF64 go by many brands n names across the world...(juz diff names diff branding.... everything else the same). but the famous df64 i think yes, the 1 from jcoffee. I rmb there are some other coffee eq seller selling as well.... u juz nid to ask around.... of coz there is price diff.... n mostly bundle wif espresso machine if u wan it cheaper.....

n i rmb some china brand oso has similar 64 mm flat burr but diff design (mcm jcoffee also selling it)..... but nt sure about the review..... can pay jcoffee a visit...

Backflushed grmilai 3605 and the portafilter holder was burst and broken. Hmm. Did it by watching YouTube. Not sure how it burst due to the pressure.Just got this machine 1 week ago

Any suggestion where to fix this?

bring back to the shop u purchase for warranty? backflush should be quite standard maintenance and should not break the machine afaik.... and machine should be able to withstand the pressure also...

Has anyone tried making espresso with cold milk?

whilst dialing in... the "reject" brews i add milk n sugar... keep in fridge to drink later or next day as cold milk coffee... sometimes I make ice cream with it...

It seems it even has a name....dirty coffee/espresso.

I have tried espresso with warm milk vs with cold milk.
I like the taste with cold milk better than with warm/heated milk.
Mine is a manual espresso machine, doesn't have a steam wand.

I don't put any sugar in my coffee.

Maybe it is just me, but I find the taste is better, the coffee taste stronger

cold stuffs I like it sweet... exception being hot nescafe + condensed milk (real/filled... not creamer)...

You guys should try making eisbock milk, I always paired my moka with eisbock milk... Once tried probably will never go back to using regular milk. The milk is so much sweeter and creamier, but it's also kinda wasteful though since you can only get around 50 to 60% liquid out of it...

1st time hearing this eisbock milk... yeah kind of wasteful...

maybe you can try adding evaporated milk to fresh milk... evaporated milk is 50% water removed from fresh milk...

It taste different from evaporated milk though, at least for me...
I first heard about it is from 2019 WBC champion Jooyeon Jeon..
And I only use farm fresh pure fresh milk...
I'm not doing it every time, just sometimes when I'm feeling a little fancy
