If you get serious into roasting later on, you will outgrow this machine very quickly. You don't really get to train your skills without the ability to read bean temps and adjust airflow/roation to build a profile.
There's alot of other limitations to go through too but again that's comparing to a >10k machine which is unfair
If you're looking for a machine just to learn the fundamentals of coffee roasting, z popcorn popper machine is good enough. I picked one up for RM60 when first started.
If you don't mind covering postage or buy me a cup of coffee when you're around, I can passover the machine to you for no cost. I've even added a dimmer mod to allow some small temp control
You can look into a Hottop or Huky 500 if you want something closer to commercial machines
