i think maybe due to software issue, but external coolers will help
but if possible get ssd too

The one I'm looking at:

Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ-2.6GHz
8GB DDR4 2133 RAM
1TB SATA HDD+128G SSD
4GB NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 960M
Windows 10 Home
2 YEARS INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY BY LENOVO

Priced at RM 3400. Seems to have to best specs for the price. Most of the others that I'm looking for at the same price dont even have SSD.

Hi, I've been seeing a lot of recommendations of Dell laptops, particularly Dell15-7559, and it seems that there is a general consensus that dell laptops can last longer. Are there any more dell laptop decommendations for RM3.5k and below? Product life span is a concern for me. Then secondly the specs. Mostly multimedia usage, and maybe light gaming. Other brand recommendations are also welcome smile.gif Thanks!
And what,s the difference between buying dell laptop at retail store and from the online store?
*
dell warranty has always been the best within warranty period.

For the best spec for the price there only one Dell 7559.

If you buy online dell will build your unit and shipped to you but you know its sure original but just take time while retail you can get it immediately if have stock. Then online usually stated there free gift but retail maybe you can request more

As mentioned by Velocity, yes, Dell warranty is good
With some extra or bargaining, topup with SSD

I dont know but it depends on luck..electronics have lifespan depending on manufacturing/delivery/usage factors

That spec is nice n good enough

Hi all, just saw this thread. I need some suggestions on what laptop to buy

hmm.gif

1. Preferred Brand: Any brand (include lenovo)
2. Budget: RM 1800-2300
3. Usage: mainly for everyday use, multitasking use (Surfing, FB, Skype, YouTube, Movies, Downloading)
(can consider also even those small internal hard drive installed or no built in dvd - its okay with me)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14" - 15"

All suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!!

yeap its really very worth. Last time my old notebook got problem. I call dell in the morning.

The repair parts arrived at noon. Technician came at 2pm. 4pm that day at my office settled

but after warranty dell repairs are too expensive.

To me..if laptop can last more than 3-4 yrs..it is good enough already

Dell is well known for superb service..others..need to wait for weeks/months to send to factory & diagnose/claim warranty

yea that why if i have the budget i go for DELL. Somemore come to your location to repair instead sending to service centre and have to wait. Dell spec not as tempting as lenovo or asus but for warranty they are unmatched

Haha, that's the thing. I used to have a lenovo laptop many years ago, but that one also a lot of problems. Then I switched to Asus, this one so far really good product life, but now also start problems ad. But some of my friends recommended lenovo, so that's why I'm looking at lenovo now. But really no comparison for the price range la. Now the other one I'm looking at is Dell 15-7559, but it's more expensive and yet the specs not quite as good. hhahh
