QUOTE(and85rew @ Jun 4 2016, 05:04 PM) If you can wait 2-3 more months..better wait Next generation gpus is optimized to support next gen. VR gaming (min GTX980 for laptop). Red team is pushing VR gaming with more affordable pricing (ie Destop RX480~US199) New GPU have better performance/energy efficient 1070 is as powerful as titanx Maybe 1060 could be as powerful as 970/960 & cheaper Plus..more updates on driver too It took around 4yrs for 28nm to 14/16nm gpus with historic perf/power efficiency boost. |

QUOTE(Aivihc @ Jun 4 2016, 04:16 PM) Care to give opinion on Acer Aspire V Nitro (NX.G7SSM.002)? or should I opt other brand with same (+/-) spec and price. ur rig ur choice. http://www.acer.com/ac/en/MY/content/model/NX.G7SSM.002 Vn7-572G~ good display panel, listed in top 10 charts in notebookcheck. Dell 7559~ good price/perf & warranty, higher spec i5/gtx960m for gamer, easy maintenance. Lenovo 700~ snappy response with 128GB PCIe SSD.

QUOTE(X_F@cT0R @ Jun 4 2016, 07:24 PM) if you just a casual gamer that play csgo or dota only and you cant wait to buy a laptop, then no need to wait 1070 I do play Far Cry, Witcher, GTA 5, Division. So I think it's better of I were to wait?unless you play AAA games with high setting then it's worth to wait that graphic card released on laptop |

QUOTE(yh28 @ Jun 3 2016, 10:54 AM) Hi all, been looking for a desktop replacement doing light surfing etc, add abit budget, get this Saw this model - Lenovo IdeaPad 100-14IBD Laptop (i5-5200U.4GB.128GB SSD) (80RK0031MJ) going for 1.7 to 1.8k, but I think it is the 5th gen processor, is there any similar offering from other brands preferably with 2 years warranty, ssd is a must, 4gb ram, reasonable graphics, 5th or 6th gen i5 doesnt matter as I think the performance diff isnt that big, budget around 1.6 to 2.3k LENOVO IDEAPAD 500S-14ISK/14.0 FHDTN/I5-6200U/4G/256G SATA SSD/N16V-GM DDR3L 2G/W10 HOME EM/BLACK/FR |

Hi, I've been seeing a lot of recommendations of Dell laptops, particularly Dell15-7559, and it seems that there is a general consensus that dell laptops can last longer. Are there any more dell laptop decommendations for RM3.5k and below? Product life span is a concern for me. Then secondly the specs. Mostly multimedia usage, and maybe light gaming. Other brand recommendations are also welcome
And what,s the difference between buying dell laptop at retail store and from the online store? This post has been edited by Lazy2study: Jun 5 2016, 12:05 PM |
