I do play Far Cry, Witcher, GTA 5, Division. So I think it's better of I were to wait?
*
960 is enough. 1070 and 1080 wont be cheaper either. I bet it will be at 7k to 10k range so is that your budget

Hi, I've been seeing a lot of recommendations of Dell laptops, particularly Dell15-7559, and it seems that there is a general consensus that dell laptops can last longer. Are there any more dell laptop decommendations for RM3.5k and below? Product life span is a concern for me. Then secondly the specs. Mostly multimedia usage, and maybe light gaming. Other brand recommendations are also welcome smile.gif Thanks!
And what,s the difference between buying dell laptop at retail store and from the online store?
*
dell warranty has always been the best within warranty period.

For the best spec for the price there only one Dell 7559.

If you buy online dell will build your unit and shipped to you but you know its sure original but just take time while retail you can get it immediately if have stock. Then online usually stated there free gift but retail maybe you can request more

So far so good tongue.gif
But it can be sensitive at times
As mentioned by Velocity, yes, Dell warranty is good
With some extra or bargaining, topup with SSD

I dont know but it depends on luck..electronics have lifespan depending on manufacturing/delivery/usage factors

That spec is nice n good enough
Worth it add few hundreds for 1-2 years extended warranty?
*
yeap its really very worth. Last time my old notebook got problem. I call dell in the morning.

The repair parts arrived at noon. Technician came at 2pm. 4pm that day at my office settled

but after warranty dell repairs are too expensive.

Hi all, just saw this thread. I need some suggestions on what laptop to buy

hmm.gif

1. Preferred Brand: Any brand (include lenovo)
2. Budget: RM 1800-2300
3. Usage: mainly for everyday use, multitasking use (Surfing, FB, Skype, YouTube, Movies, Downloading)
(can consider also even those small internal hard drive installed or no built in dvd - its okay with me)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14" - 15"

All suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!!

k401 asus.

To me..if laptop can last more than 3-4 yrs..it is good enough already

Dell is well known for superb service..others..need to wait for weeks/months to send to factory & diagnose/claim warranty
*
yea that why if i have the budget i go for DELL. Somemore come to your location to repair instead sending to service centre and have to wait. Dell spec not as tempting as lenovo or asus but for warranty they are unmatched

Dell warranty hv a few type.now.. the same day on-site was commercial item.. which inspiron dun hv...

I oso wish can get tat type of on-site for my product... haha..
*
same day or next day boleh la unlike some send in 2 weeks also dont have.

Like i got an ASUS ZEnbook 1st gen. Their keyboard sot sot di. I went to service centre they said to fix this i must leave the notebook with them to send back to their HQ to check. I ask them how long they said to quote need 1 week. Wtf.

End up tak akan i no need to work 1 week , later they tell you no stock how? it will waste me few weeks so same day or next day its very comforting already

1. Preferred Brand: Asus/HP/Dell
2. Budget: 2.5k, max to stretch out is 3k but prefer within 2.5k
3. Usage: Surfing, Watch movie
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: The bigger the better, bigger than 13' maybe?

This is for wife normal usage, just for some browsing and movie viewing, screen size bigger will be bonus.

asus k401 will be nice for your wife. metalic finish, 1.9kg, big screen 14inch

depends on people preference
some people like bigger screen dont care about resolution
some people really care about resolution more than screen size
*
lucky you smart that means you are recommending wrongly so the best is to get a big screen with FHD you get best of both world not bigscreen with hd

he clearly not stated want fhd in his preferences
maybe he dont care about screen resolution, who knows right
unless he clearly stated want fhd only at first, then i would suggest Asus K501U for him bigger screen with fhd
*
if he know so well what fHD then he wont be posting here anyway here it is if you need to learn what the difference

well there's some forumer in here that knows so well about this thing and yet they're also posting in here asking us the suggestion about which laptop should he buy and of course he stated fhd in his preferences.
it doesn't mean if they know about this thing, they can make a decision alone which laptop he should buy according their preferences and budget.
they still need someone in here to help them to narrow down the choices of laptops they should buy.
don't look down at those peoples that posting in here that asking our helps to suggest laptops for them by thinking they dont know anything about this thing.
*
Exactly finally you get it. So i suggest stop treating people like they know it all. Suggest them the best within their budget. From my understand ts said for movie watching and from my experience higher resolution better
