Enjoy your delayed flight!  tongue.gif

But remember to exchange your CC points regularly, because they keep reducing the value to convert to EM.

Lucky you. Maybank dared not implement the miles redemption capping in Singapore.

What cards do you guys use for local retail spending? I can’t find a card yet that gives good miles redemption.

I recommend UOB Visa Infinite or UOB PRVI Miles Elite..just choose to pay in foreign currency. You get 10x or 0.83 miles per ringgit.

CIMB TWE works too if you compare only for Enrich. Both CIMB and UOB Infinite give around 0.8 MPR for Enrich. But CIMB gives 0.67 for non-Enrich miles.

CIMB could better since they have much larger selection of airline partners and from my experience the FX fees seems to be lower. And CIMB doesn't have that 1% mark up for FX.

I prefer UOB Infinite because I can use Zenith to effectively earn a higher MPR for Krisflyer.

anyone tried to redeem Krisflyer for EVA air?
Is it possible to redeem KUL ->TPE -> HND. I can't seem to search this flight.

Or I have to transfer my miles to EVA miles for it to work

Multi-cities doesn't work for Krisflyer redemption.
You need to redeem SIN - TPE under Star Alliance if you want to fly EVA air
If you just want to get to Japan then search SIN - HND direct

What about RHB Premier VISA Infinite? Is it competitive enough to be one of the top cards for MPR?

Happy to convert my BA Avios to QR Avios and flew with QR business class. I converted those miles earlier from my previous CIMB TWE. biggrin.gif

Flew from KUL-DOH was just the old 2-2-2 but DOH-MAD, I got the famous QSuite. So excited to be able to try it out. Truly a good private space.

According to my booking, flying back from BCN-DOH would be just the previous business class seat, the so-called "QSuite Lite". However, when I boarded, I was pleasantly surprised with QSuite again, and it is so much better as it comes with a Starlink Internet connection and high speed (>100Mbps) throughout the journey. It is free for all classes as well. Sadly, this flight was only 5.5H. I wish it was longer. laugh.gif

Then, I continued my journey on MH from DOH-KUL, which is code-shared with QR. As usual, MH business class on A350-900 is good; I have no complaints. Good food and free WiFi. laugh.gif

I spent 150k Avios for all these; it may not be the best deal, I booked last year's August. Paid taxes for around RM 1.9k, which is not cheap considering I paid less than RM 400 before when I flew in SQ business class to Istanbul return. laugh.gif

hello all,

still dont know which card is best for miles

just got cimb twe, thought it was good buy 4ok to 1k miles is a lot, especially when its very hard to get points for that card

hsbc premier easiest to get points but 50k for 1k mile only enrich

so far uob zenith 7400 for 1k point seems best, but i dont recall how to get points there

just transferred over from citibank, and they used to give 250k points if use more than 500k or something, which was easy because of foreign uni fees.

Alliance Visa Infinite or Ambank Enrich Visa Infinite should be the better ones out there. But only for Enrich miles though.
