QUOTE(prince_mk98 @ Mar 1 2016, 08:42 PM) Can always go to the respective fund page to check their 3 years volatility. It's almost at the end of the page. Alternatively, you can check from here too. Anyway, EIBF: 4.12 AMBITF: 3.28 RHBIBF: 2.2 |

FSM Fund Choice: TA European Equity Fund [March 2016]
CONCLUSION: Further easing by ECB could be a plus to the region’s economy as well as the European equities. Valuation has also become relatively more attractive at this juncture with the drawdown of the prices of European equities. While corporate earnings have been revised downward by analysts, we believe that the bearish sentiments may have overshoot and a possible upward revision to earnings is not to be ruled out. Should the earnings re-rating occurs, it will potentially lend support to the European equity market, providing a push for them to climb higher. Given the volatile swings in the market in recent times, we believe that the TA European Equity Fund, being a fund of funds, could provide the necessary diversification and stability given its investments spreading across asset classes, market capitalizations as well as a broad range of investment strategies and fund managers. As such, investors who are interested in gaining exposure to the European equity market can consider investing in the TA European Equity Fund. QUOTE(prince_mk98 @ Mar 1 2016, 08:29 PM) Hello sifu Xuzen, My bias view is still no change: Libra Asnita Bond. I m looking at fixed income funds, which one you think I should go for a) Eastspring Investments Bond Fund Return : 11.96% (1 yr) b) RHB Islamic Bond Fund (Return : 7.52%) c) AMB Income Trust Fund (Return : 6.31%) any insights to share? Bond a) 1 year return is due to a one-off extraordinary gain from a defaulted bond recovery. This type of event happen rarely and is unlikely to be repeated. Bond b) Can be considered. But take note that its volatility is double that of Asnita. If you can tolerate its swing, then go ahead. Bond c) Its volatility is around 7.8% (check out its FFS). With this type of volatility better go for dividend type equity fund... their volatility is roughly the same but return is higher. Xuzen |
