Lukenn, I agree 100% with your view. Unfortunately a public forum like this will attract the good, the bad and the ugly.

For some forumers here to expect 100% accurate FREE special tailored advice from a professional financial adviser in a public forum to enhance their portfolio? Wow. I am just dumbstruck.

I hope you will not be put off by this and will continue to contribute to this forum. I think the forumers here including myself have benefitted from your insight. Based on my calculation, we have less than 5 real sifus in this forum. We could benefit by having more sifus.

MY market is not too stable right now.
More downside compare to upside.

For me:

I) I keep six mths of my take home salary in CASA and in Money Market account.

II) The rest invest. I never do lump sum, I always do RSP.

III) No point keeping cash in CASA or FD where the ROI < Inflation rate.

Hello sifu Xuzen,

I m looking at fixed income funds, which one you think I should go for

a) Eastspring Investments Bond Fund Return : 11.96% (1 yr)

b) RHB Islamic Bond Fund (Return : 7.52%)

c) AMB Income Trust Fund (Return : 6.31%)

any insights to share?

If your reason to choose fixed income funds is more towards wealth preservation, I suggest to choose the one which is the least  volatile

Can always go to the respective fund page to check their 3 years volatility. It's almost at the end of the page.

Alternatively, you can check from here too.

Anyway,
EIBF: 4.12
AMBITF: 3.28
RHBIBF: 2.2

yeah...i just noted in the charting tool. thanks Ochipala

i think I will go for EIBF.

Bond c) Its volatility is around 7.8% (check out its FFS). With this type of volatility better go for dividend type equity fund... their volatility is roughly the same but return is higher.

The two star articles are posted on the same day i.e., Monday, 7th March 2016.

Two articles with two conflicting "information". One says M'sia economy is slowing down = an ominous news indeed.

The other says foreign funds are coming in.... contradicting the other article.

As a lay / retail - investor; I too would be confused with these contradicting news.

So how?

Luckily I got Algozen™ as a compass for me... and it says buy Malaysia exposed UT two weeks ago and it tells me the most optimum exposure is at 25 to 35% based on the risk - adjusted performance.
