Guys,
Here's my situation: 1. Used my CC on 01/01/16 at 0009 & 0024
2. However, in my CC statement, it was stated as 31/12/15 transactions
3. Filed a report to the CS about the mistakes in my statement
4. CS amended the mistakes, but now my transactions dates were changed to 2nd & 3rd January 2016
5. Enquired CS how they came up with so many different dates & these were their reply: a) tarikh transaksi yang tertera dalam penyata adalah berbeza dengan tarikh transaksi sebenar seperti mana yang direkodkan dalam sistem bank kami iaitu pada 31 Disember 2015 disebabkan ia melibatkan sistem Visa International yang berada di zon masa yang berbeza
b) Perkara ini telah dirujuk ke unit yang berkenaan dan kami dapati sistem sms telah dihantar kepada pemegang kad sejurus transaksi dicajkan ke akaun kad kredit (tidak kira samada transaksi berjaya atau tidak). pihak kami dapati, perbezaan tarikh yang tertera adalah disebabkan ianya melibatkan pihak ketiga (Visa International) di mana sistem tersebut berpusat di Amerika Syarikat yang berada di zon masa yang berbeza
Based on the reply from CS, is that a valid reason for the dissimilarity of my transaction dates in my CC statement?

heya all,
i kinda forget but if there was a direct debit on the card the credit card provider will still categorise whether it is under utilities, insurance, telco etc right ? just wanted to confirm .....

You may refer this link this link to find your auto debit billing MCC code to determine the category.

Similar thing happened to me last year while I was overseas. The transaction date shown in my statement followed the local time of the place I used the card, not Malaysian time. I'm guessing you made an online payment to a company based overseas?

I booked a hotel at booking.com under 'book first, pay later' option. However, received sms alert that the full amount has been charged to my card. Is the notification just a formality but nothing is actually charged?

Thus, I conclude that full payment has been charged despite how they offer not to charge until a certain date.
