Hey guys.

Just wanna ask, if my money is in Maybank and I wanan put money in the RHB FD 15months promo, never had any account with RHB. How do I go about it?

Do I need a banker's cheque from Maybank? Or can I open an account with RHB and transfer online?

Noticed interest credited by different banks for FD placed in 2015 calculated differently. For Jan 2016 interest.

One bank use 365 days another used 366 days as a base.

Yes. For example banks kena rob, PIDM will cover some of the loss. As long don't exceed RM250k, you are safe (if you really care about getting the PIDM protection)

If the FD does not require you to have account. No need to open account. A Banker's Cheque from maybank will do. However if they say must open account, ask for BSA (it's a FOC account)

But most staff won't allow u to open BSA. Just like PBB, they insisted to enjoy FD campaign, must open acc with min 250

Use the magic word. If you don't let me open a bsa, I will write into bnm. Guaranteed sure they let you open but face sure become sour.

ocbc's initial deposit RM200, min holding balance RM20

same with PBB also. withholding rm20. most prob will go ocbc. another stupid question, just to confirm the calculation, 15 mths 4.3% means placement RMxx,xxx x 4.3% = interest per annum, so divided by 12 then x 15 to get the interest earned? thx

If i have let say 50k in MBB saving account and now i want to opt for their CNY FD promotion, the amount i have now can't be used to register FD since its not consider fresh fund? How can i go about it? Transfer to other bank then issue banker cheque again to MbB?

Talking about 20" trolley bag of AmBank for FD placement (Nov 2015). Today is last day of supposed collection. Still no news yet !

Called the ABM, she said still not yet received. Will reserve one for me.

Anyone received theirs from AmBank ?
