QUOTE(Syd G @ Jan 30 2016, 03:39 PM) Enjoy fabulous rates with minimum fresh deposit of RM25,000 for Individual customers or RM50,000 for SME/Business Banking customers in a single certificate on our 4+4 months Fixed Deposit. 6.88% (1 time only for the next 4 months), need deposit for 7-8 months http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p.../PRO-Promotionsi gone through the tnc, but doesn't say much about the "2.0% flat investment sales charges". i wonder if the effective 4.38% is net and already included the charge? QUOTE(Ramjade @ Feb 1 2016, 11:03 AM) Yes. For example banks kena rob, PIDM will cover some of the loss. As long don't exceed RM250k, you are safe (if you really care about getting the PIDM protection) Where did you get the info. bank kena rob, PIDM will cover the loss? PIDM cover the bank on robbery?

As long don't exceed RM250k, you are safe (if you really care about getting the PIDM protection)If the FD does not require you to have account. No need to open account. A Banker's Cheque from maybank will do. However if they say must open account, ask for BSA (it's a FOC account) you know what are you talking or not? dont simply talk for the sake of talking please.

Latest FD offer I just knew, cannot confirmed 100%, as just telephone call, may mistaken remember in my memory.
PBB new promo 3+3+3 months step up. 3.98% 4.18% 4.38%
UOB 4% - 4 months 4.15% - 7 months 4.25% - 12 months.
Look like offer are not as good as previous across.
