erm, 2.1-2.3, i had about 30-45 minutes to relax lor... 2.4 ... got held back because made a lot of mistakes.. if not also should have around 30 minutes to relax one...

darn shit.

ya lo. next sitting FTMS seems do not have any 'famous' lecturers except Chow Kim Tai. no good lecturers + poor management = become SEGi one day

for students who are eligible to take Optional papers in June 07 sitting, they are allowed to take Optional papers with or before Core papers in December 07 sitting. if they still have outstanding papers in part 2, they are allowed to take them together with optional and/or core papers.

for example: next sitting i'm allowed to take P7 (2.5), P8 (2.6), P5 (3.3) and P1.

hey i same case with u. but 2.5, 2.6 and 3.3 i wait for results out onli decide how lo. mayb pass leh. 3.2 confirmed fail but i next next sitting onli sit for it. i will only take P1 and P2 for the time being. if 2.5 fail then defer P2 to next sitting.

wow...look who's talking here. time to relax and check answers.....can can...wait till u come to 3.3 then u'll know wat's time pressure

this j07 i sat for 2.6, 3.1 and 3.2. so when result come out, if something happen like the worst (FAIL ALL) so can i do this option

(1) sit for F8, P1, P2 and P3 or

(2) sit for F8, P6 and 3.1( din catch the name for the this P??)
then only do P1, P2 and P3 for the next sitting

you may do either 1. but it's recommended that you do P2 first before doing P7 (3.1) coz unlike the current syllabus, P7 assumes that accounting standards in P2 were learnt. take a look at the syllabus guide if you don't mind.

so my recommendation would be:

1) F8, P6, P1, P2 and leave P7 for J08 sitting OR
2) F8, P6, P2, P7

this may confusing,but understand from the rules itself, u cannot jump from each module,do it in sequence..but in a module u can do whatever paper u want.. Essential(core+optional) is 1 module,so any order can..thats based on my understanding.

For P1 Professional Accountant ( is about corporate governance, ethics, ...) may i know which lecturer have experience and good in teaching this subject ??

well,its a quite problem if wanna ask who is good here,this is a new paper,and some of it is a new lecturer..For FTMS,i really dun know much about her,eventhough from her profile,there is an achievement,yet,didnt heard much about her though,compare to marty windle..kasturi is well known for parmindar easy approach to teaching,and memory works too,yes,he's good in IT paper,previously he's good in 3.4,some says 3.5 also..first u need to know,either is P3 has anything to do with IT or management,if yes, he's the guy..AND BELIEVE ME..HE'S THAT DAMN GOOD TEACHING P3 ..Mcorange Michael of course best,u can see he really want to assess student by giving a test,to ensure u do well in exam,plus he's from LCA,everybody praises this oversea guy especially from London..i can encourage u join him,but the problem is the FEES..if its worth,then ok la.. input is large($$), but the output is a failure(or halfway through u didnt feel confident),then u might regret.. the other guy i dont know him at all.. kolej bandar eddie chuah also is not popular among students..but can see from his profiles,quite impressive,but i dun know can he really teach or have extensive knowledge bout P3.. the best way for taking Essential module is that,u should pass any paper ur sat for june 07 so that there's not much of full schedule..coz Prof. level paper u need some space, dun take 4 papers,but u seems not confident bout 2.5?so..if anything happen to ur 2.5,Dec07 if u re-sit tat paper,take also P1 and P3..danger is,THE DATE OF THE EXAM IS CONTINOUS..FIRST IS P1,F7,P3..so a bit of pressure lor..but for me,i'll take kasturi for P3 1st term coz i put my Trust on Parmindar !!

As refer to P1 syllabus diagram, it require knowledge
directly from F1 , indirectly from F8(2.6)

whereas P3 require knowledge
directly from F1 , indirectly from F7(2.5)

better go wit P1,as this is a new brand ever paper in ACCA..besides helps u wit the ethics module later..P3 seems easy,but lot to read..but up to u..

are u sure core n optional is ONE module..?? if im not mistaken, core module must be completed before optional module, they are seperate.. (exception only for those current convertion of optional J07 student, after D07 acca dun allow student to take optional before core anymore)

I thought I was the only one having difficulties answering Section B of 2.4
Q1 is ok....but Q2 till Q5 were totally crazy.
I couldn't answer any...I didn't study the theory part.
Really sad and angry at myself!!!

I have a question here.....
I'm planning to take P7(audit) and P8(financial) this coming sem.
If I fail paper 2.2 and 2.4, am I able to take the exam for P7 and P8????
Or do I have to resit 2.2 and 2.4 first???

What do u think of Kolej Segi Kota Damansara? I'm planning to study P7 and P8 there coz it's near my house..... Prev I studied 2.3 and 2.4 at Kolej Segi KL.
