i just backed from outstation...so that's y missing for quite sometime...

I personally prefer BPP...has a nicer font and pointers on which things u have to know for exam and is easier to understand..

Kaplan on the other hand is really detailed and seems to contain more information...but it's really lengthy n sometimes i dunno what it's talking about But if u wan really thorough n comprehensive cover on the subject this publisher is for u. Hope this helps~


Sigh...3.3 n 2.5 really were killers....was looking forward to attending the last three papers but now i guess i'll just attend two papers to be on the safe side...

Btw, does anybody know about Bob Souster who's also teaching P1 in McOrange? I like Sheila but sometimes it feels like information overload

well,i sat for 2.6 for 3 consecutive sitting,1st im in sunway,there i got 49 then i just attend ftms revision still no luck,then i went to PAAC..lecturer is good also,makes audit looks easy in a summarised way,but its up to u either here,mcorange,or thats it..i dun know bout kasturi,but since chin ann join paac for level 3 paper,the only known for 2.6 is sheila..if philip woo teaches at kasturi that might be a good idea too..but ftms no la tis sitting..2.5 if u want the best is sunway,and no $$ maybe kasturi but i prefer haneef/menon lor..2.5tis sitting i went to FTMS mr.navzar,good also,just that questions this sitting really a killer blow,no matter how good lecturer is,end of the day..the question and ur mind is the decider..now want to take optional first then core,P4 daniel ho any supporting fact that i can relied on?thinking doin P7 audit,but not confident lor..maybe i can take optional+core(P1+P4)i heard philip woo+vicknesh will teach at kasturi for P1..thats what mr.vicknesh told me..

For all those student whom sat for optional papers this sitting(June 2007), there are exception..cause caught in transition so,they can sit for optional december 07..or combine with core.. hmm..if take PA now,maybe there is a chance of passing is it,coz we dun have any source to refer to,plus only pilot paper that can use as an approach to P1..but other way around,the paper itself is quite challenging..Corp Governance+Internal Control+Ethics... saw the P3 also,aiyoo tough also..its getting tougher each year tis ACCA...respect lor acca candidates,can live under pressure..wherelse,normal degree student nothin to worried much..everyday ACCA student sees the world as relate to their studies,every current issue,everyday life,can applied what we learned,awesome,but aiyoo,its a challenging course however,the output is very rewarding for ACCA,cos we r the best in the world

can't finish my 3.7 paper!! SO Confusing lar the questions! Esp the optional questions... so many theories in one question. WALAU duno how to apply leh. Sien..anyway i dun think i'd be seeing it next sem anymore I prob have to take P1 PA next sitting as I pass all my optional already. (P4 optional paper mar...) Hope P1 is easier, to study and to score - but I kinda doubt it cos it's such an subjective paper. Maybe it'd be like LAW kind of paper. BleK

2.6 sheila@ mcorange or chin ann@ KSA lo. i heard chin ann 2.6 tips quite accurate this time round

i personally prefer BPP coz more user friendly.

Bob Souster is the examiner for F1. he will be conducting P1 in Mc Orange in special block basis (means few classes in a month then he flies back to UK and come here teach few classes again).
Yeah Sheila's teaching method might not suits everybody. she teaches too details but sometimes these details will be examined too (eg 2.6 asked bout elements in audit report which Sheila teached us the TAIMAO DAS formula).

By the way, i disagree with u all about 2.5, i think its fairly ok.. Q1 i think easily can score, Q2 bit hard, Q4 nobody say MUST be cashflow, other Qs quite okie also... Com'on, u guyz dun too manja, dun aspect evy sitting acca exam style ll be exactly the same..

Anyone realise 3.1, one of the questions is repetition from pass year.. I meant Q3(a)... such a surprise... its a direct repetition... hahaaaa....

huh.. 2.4 in fact pretty hard.. unlike other sitting, this time case study easy, but all four optional damn hard.. kimtai spotting all tak kena..

hey all im new here and i jz took 2.4 tday...the paper was difficult la this time...din expect it to be THIS difficult...btw tat was my first time taking d ppr...look at last sitting ppr,it was ok ok...this sitting...oh my god,d first que was the only que tat i cud answer with confidence and when i saw the remaining questions...i went WTF...haiz damn dissapointed la

Added on June 13, 2007, 10:19 pmvery sori i forgot to add this...i went to andrews revision cls...his predictions mostly came out la,quite accurate...just tat THE WAY the ques were presented and asked was nothing like they have been asked before...the ratio analysis question...what is up with that 'return on equity'??? that ratio was neva bn asked all this while and this sitting it came out...and asking us to calculate ALL THE RATIOS FOR 4 FREAKING YRS...and it is only for 8 or 9 marks??? thats ridiculious la

anyway, its over...next sitting try again lo if can't make it....

i clap bcos u already try ur best. that means u already done 95% of ur work.
5% only checking ma. Right ? if u have confident, ur answers still correct , right?

I attend 2.5 Spencer class last sitting, and feel totally no confidence with him, very peak session, very rush (frequently rush to different country), notes prepared in a bad and confused flow (seems over summarized as compare to Study Text, and seems prepared in a rush and mess), some sentences in notes looks weired (seems he is trying to change the sentence structure to look different from textbook, hope it is not because of my poor english) ... he claims that he taught the subject in Penang (not sure how many year), but I feel that this is his first time teaching (my own perspective) ... overall I can only give a thumbs 'DOWN' !!! Disappointed !!! (not to offend, all above is just personal experience and feeling)
