Been running around K.L lately searching for bath and kitchen fixtures, trying to find steel square sink but most of the prices out there are ranging from rm500 - rm600 after discount, expensive in my opinion for a small sink. This lead me to Taobao, purchased my sink at around RM371.00 via 65daigou, price inclusive of shipping and agent's fee.

wallpaper, tv racking, side tables, chairs, etc etc too many to name.

the stuff that i didnt dare to buy are the ones that are more sensitive or doesn't make the cut. like mattress, no need buy there la, too bulky to bring back. fridge also, too sensitive to buy from there. better buy those here. oven, kitchen hob, cooker, microwave, fan , air cond, all buy here cukup nia. tapau from there really dont make sense, although i will see alot more savings, but too risky if item breaks down, too lengthy to claim warranty.

bedsheet better be careful. those bedsheet i open up 1 by 1 to measure. alot say king size and even give the king size measurement but when u really measure, is totally out 1. pilow case is standard. is ok. quilt cover or duvet cover also is ok. standard size, just be careful when buying bed sheet from china. all the size is really tipu 1. just open up 1 by 1 and measure yourself.

i wanted to go hangzhou to buy some more but kena scolding coz already 2x40' liao. maybe after CNY i will go shop some more.


my port of clearance is from xiamen to port klang. i have logistics arm there in china and here so i can settle and clearance myself. for those who dont, be prepapred to kena.

Track lights arriving today, will post photos when I've go through the stocks.

actually i and my brother also buy from taobao... use sea freight, quite reliable. bought 2 sinki, 304 stainless steels type.. easily save half compare to malaysia, LED downlight, T5 LED, some light bulb. kitchen hoob... all easily save half also.. use sea freight, need 1 months to arrived.

but i break some of the lights. cause i didnt open carefully... overall is very worth,

till now didnt kena any tax.. total more than 5k purcahse ad

i only got downlight and T5 led.

downlight around rm 12 after convert and including postage around rm 14 each.

mine come with heatsink. my brother use for 1 years ad. still ok....

night i try take pic, only got T5 and led downlight,

T5 very safe, 1 tube can last at least 2 years, mine had been with me for several years without any problem but bought from light shops. Main concern for Taobao's LED downlights are the quality as there's too many supplier/makers out there, nevertheless I've bought quite a few, also around RM14.00 inclusive of shipping and agent's fee.

Is it alright for you to share the link of your supplier since yours don't have any problem? Members here can refer directly.

last year T5 i bought from another vendor. nt very good. as some got defect. current 1 i bought is from same brand with the downlight i buying. will share tonight.

Interesting thread! Xxccess, are you able to read chinese? I've been checking out taobao and daigou, but always the concern is the inability to read chinese . Translate sometimes doesnt work very well. Any links of the items purchased are greatly appreciated!

Very disadvantaged now when it comes to buying stuff since quite a few items on taobao seems reasonably priced, and very close to designer look!

myself also an ABC aka bananaman, normally my sister help me to buy, courier it herself also, no need via agent.

find courier which have store there, so they will repack and send back to me.. use sea freight, 1 months lead time.. a lot cheaper than flight.

and sea freight no limit aka escape tax. and flight max is rm 500. else kena tax

just buy from those with many purchases, will a lot safer and Tmall is more safer a bit..

My Chinese fail big time, that's why I'm using 65daigou as agent, it helps a lot. To purchase from Taobao, better look out for high number of users review and those with actual photos of products from their purchase. Don't judge by seller pictures.

From my research, Tmall seems to offer better quality products but research is still important when comes to online purchase.

Didn't check the exact calculation, knew some 3rd party agent can be cheaper. Using Daigou because of convenience and reliability, as long price of products is cheaper than local retailer, I'm fine with it.

Ok, my dish drainer and commercial LED downlights arrived today. Quality for both items are good in my opinion, not those that makes you feel disgusted upon touching it. I'm happy with the purchased.

Bought a cheap wok from Taobao previously and was a total failure. Paper thin steel, feels like throwing it out of the window. That supplier don't have much transaction let alone reviews, I was stubborn because thought I've found the right design.

Just make sure you do enough research as there's many fake reviews out there. For furniture I suggest you get from www.tmall.com, heard better quality control.

Still hunting for my elusive dining table, been to HomeDec, Perfect Living and various other furniture shops/malls, nothing came near to what I want. Need natural wood color in lighter shade for my table top but most out there had darker tone. Walked around Viva mall today, saw some that are closed to my target but color of wood just ain't right, most design also can be seen on Taobao/Tmall and each easily cost 2.5K to 4k.

Discussed with wife if we should get it from TB despite the risk involved, guess we are close to making the order. This is what we are targetting, gonna custom measurement from supplier.

I've bought 12cm 15 bulbs. No idea how much bigger 15cm is, perhaps you want to look at user's review photos. Can only install my lights end of Feb but I think it's possible to arrange into rectangular shape.

Go below this link and look for reviews, you can translate to English from Google, check "Pictures" and all product photos posted by users will surface. If you look at 15cm glass balls, they looked huge for exterior and interior glass.

12cm is measurement for exterior glass but inner white ball will also be smaller.

Just look see look see daigou..final price after check out from cart with shipping, the shipping is only domestic one? To the warehouse at Guangzhou,is it ? From warehouse to msia, will be another shipping charge?

RM99.00 is Sea shipping charges to Malaysia. Domestic delivery charges depends on location of Manufacturer/Supplier, some may ask you to pay a small amount for domestic delivery to Guangzhou warehouse.

Once item reached warehouse, they will calculate agent's fee and shipping charges to Malaysia then request you to settle the payment before shipping your purchase to Malaysia. For Daigou delivery to your house need to pay additional RM8.00 thats all.

Next is this unhappy order. Bought these for one of my photography studio and all washrooms, ordered a total of 11 units square design but one of them is round and not working at all, switched another driver also failed to get it light up, suspect they purposely threw one defective into the order. Price are cheap but shit happens.

It means the packaging is by bubble wrap, not wooden crate.

do you request for wooden crate for your item?

They given you two option to choose.

Since the item is not really big and weight approx <5kg, they propose bubble wrap. If you insist wooden crate, then the total weight will be approx. 15kg.

I think its all about the cost incurred in this case since wooden crate additional 10kg, extra shipping charges.

Nope, so far never request wooden crate. For big furniture some supplier or manufacturer do supply crate without additional charges, of course there will be added weight to shipping charges as mentioned by our brother here. If bringing in a lot of big items, try call Daigou to negotiate shipping charges.

Sorry, my reply came late, too busy running around to settle my reno stuff. The lights itself are well protected as each glass ball has it's own Styrofoam compartment.

How is the Reno going ?
