Can be done, But must work together with Wikipedia.  Extra more homework.
Example Noboribetsu to Chitose.
First you go Noribetsu Station first on wikipedia. Then you will get Muroran Main Line info.
Then you will found Numanohata Station are Interchange between Muroran Main Line & Chitose Line.
Then you will success reach Chitose Station from Noboribetsu.
Oedo Onsen was expensive and sleep on tatami floor only. I rather sleep at Airport Hotel much better.
Best choice was sleep at Airport Hotel or take limo bus to Shinjuku. At Shinjuku walk to those Internet & Manga Cafe.  You can rent a small room inside CC. Extremely cheap and free bottomless drinks too.

Those Internet speed are 30mb per sec. Used it for do homework.  brows.gif

oh ya...

i forget to give u all tips, for those who traveling with train n shuttle bus
noboribetsu is actually very tourist friendly place
some hotel hv free bus from airport
---> just pretend u r walk-in customer to get a free ride brows.gif

but there r few attractions required some traveling... and it is quite a distance
too bad im not too sure they hv local bus/taxi service around there

Hi All,

I need some help with my itinerary .

Day 1 Tokyo -> Osaka (JR Pass)
Day 2 Osaka (JR Pass)
Day 3 Osaka -> Kyoto (JR Pass)
Day 4 Kyoto (JR Pass)
Day 5 Kyoto (JR Pass)
Day 6 Kyoto -> Mount Fuji (JR Pass)
Day 7 Mount Fuji -> Tokyo (JR Pass)
Day 8 Tokyo
Day 9 Tokyo
Day 10 Tokyo
Day 11 Tokyo
Day 12 Tokyo
Day 13 Back to Malaysia

Since I'm getting my self a 7 days JR pass, which I want to fully utilize. I want to travel to Mount Fuji from Kyoto directly.

1. Do I need to get down from Tokyo Station from Kyoto, then find my way to Shinjuku station to use shinkansen to Odawara?
2. Can my JR pass use from Tokyo (Shinjuku station?) to Odawara?
3. Where's a good place to stay to visit Mount Fuji area and easy to get transportation (trem, bus to sightseeing?)

Thanks advance for the advice.

Last train all stop at 11.30pm - 12am.
You won't able to catch it.

Family also can stay a those Manga Internet Cafe just for few hour.
They have alot big comfortable  sofa for rest.
Drink some coffee or soft drink (Free) , buy some instant noodle if hungry.

If you already booked Airbnb then take Taxi from Shinjuku Station to your airbnb location. Since already at Shinjuku, wot be that expensive compare from Airport.  Shinjuku to Shin Okubo just 1.4km // 1,100 Yen , Walking also can be done. Tokyo street are very safe for walking at night.

Shinjuku to Higashi Shinjuku also around 1.4km // 1,100 Yen

thx, i went back to see the limo bus schedule
seem like they did stop at shinjuku washington hotel and higashi shinjuku station
and i saw some listing are close to these 2 drop points
should be fine
my theory is ..if im going to book accommodation, might as well straight go there and drop luggage
next day no need to worry abt time to check in and hauling that luggage around

I did some preliminary research. Hokkaido peak is summer, during ,their lavender season. But also alot of visitors during the snow festival.

Assuming i want to do both snow festival and drift ice in next year feb, is it too late if i only start planning/booking in december? Ie 2 months in advance? 4 of us going. Just friends, and we are ok with ryokan/budget accom, flexible.

got money, last minute also no problem thumbsup.gif

Hi, can I know which area is recommended to stay in Kyoto?

Prefer location near restaurants & walking distance to train station.

I heard reviews about Gion area, other than that, any ideas?

Thanks!

Go Agoda type in Kyoto
Set a price you willing to pay
Then choose the hotel. Each hotel have location map.
Find one that near to station and price are cheap.

Ends

Hi! I am planning on traveling to Japan, in November, and will be flying from Taiwan. (Will stay in Taiwan from 9th to 17th November) So I'm just thinking how much should I budget myself. Is 7 days enough for Japan? I don't really buy a lot of stuff, and would prefer to just look around Japan. (This won't be the last time I would go to Japan, would probably be going there in the future for longer period)

Thanks!

You can try Piece Hostel Kyoto, just within 8 mins walking distance from Kyoto Station.
I stayed there early this year. Well maintained, friendly staffs and speak well English. smile.gif

For the Kaiyukan, you can get their Kaiyu ticket which allows you 1 day unlimited public transport use. Can be bought from the Metro service offices at some stations.

Hi, I'd like to check. I've tried search online but I still can't confirm yet.
I'm going to Kyoto in 1st October to 7th October.
I'm really interest in visit temple with night illumination.
according to japan-guide, kiyomizu-dera temple fall illumination only happen between mid March to mid April and mid November to early December.
Then I check shoren-in temple, it did not specify date. Is it available every night?
May I know which other temple has night illumination.

Hi guys,

Apologies if this has been asked before. I tried searching but couldnt find. Do let me know if its out there and I can search again.

I will be travelling to Osaka-Kyoto-Tokyo in that order. I have already checked and looks like the JR Pass is a good choice for me. My question though, does anyone know where I can get the Tokyo Subway Ticket (72-hours), Osaka Amazing Pass and Kyoto Subway Pass?

I did find someone talking about the Kansai Thru Pass, but I cant find info that it will completely replace the Osaka Amazing Pass and Kyoto Subway Pass. Anyone knows this as well?

Also, I emailed to JTB Malaysia and they told me that the JR National Rail Pass can also replace the Tokyo Metro Pass?

Apologies for the many questions. Will be travelling with my old folks and its quite a big group of 6 total so I would like to get this travel plans sorted as best as possible. Am getting quite confusing information from the various websites.

Thanks in advance.

First you no need JR Rail Pass.
Because you only going one direction. From Kyoto to Tokyo. Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo are JR killer place. JR Rail Pass are very limited usage at this 3 city.

Second, you no need Osaka Amazing Pass and Kyoto Subway pass. Just buy Kansai Thru Pass.
http://www.surutto.com/tickets/kansai_thru_english.html

At Tokyo part. Just buy Suica or Pasmo. No need any Subway pass. Unless you one day take more than 6 subway train ride above only worth the price.

Can sent me a PM if you want. We can go detail
