You must tell the lazada fella to check why our IMEIs not on the the xiaomi m'sia database!!! Maybe someone forget to do or in process??? hahaha OR does it even work that way?

Nice! more things pointing towards it being a local set. The MCMC thing is definitely ours. Hopefully Lazada & ECS Astar can sort out the issue as to why our IMEIs and warranty info don't tally in Mi's database.

But the thing is when Mi ran the check on my IMEI, she immediately concluded that it's from China. I'm not sure she meant it's a China AP set or just it's made in China (all Xiaomis are made in China duh).

just checked mine and it is MCMC CIDF15000056 too!

Well i guess we can ask the rest who have bought AP sets to verify and post their regulatory information, then we will know the difference!

we have lazada said M'sia warranty, we have MCMC as regulatory, we have HK sirim sticker, we have S'pore sirim sticker, we have Diedar Oleh ECS ASTAR SDN BHD sticker

xakarix84 we have to sit down with lazada ppl to sort it out soon. The pieces are coming together BUT Lazada holds the key. Our objective is to get onto the IMEI database. Once we're on it, we can go any service center if shit happens to our phones

Another possible thing to do is to check with Mi Malaysia service center whether our IMEIs are in their system. Something definitely happened along the way.

I'm speculating that ECS (assuming that they are authorised) imported global sets directly from Mi China but haven't updated the IMEIs with Mi Malaysia yet. So the IMEI & warranty may still be tagged to China.

Btw customer service reps that i chatted with were based in SG, looking at the web domain. I was connected through Mi Malaysia's website to reach them.

With the Updater. If it says no update available, press ... at the top right and select download update.

after a day with my redmi, i like it a lot. but still not used to MIUI.. no widget, icon is very big. feels weird

It does come with some widgets. Hold the left capacitive button.

Big icons? Did you switch on Lite mode?
