Gmail push finally working after I manually updated to 7.0.12.0.

Is your unit running hot and got thermal throttled?

You can try go to setting > additional setting > privacy > scroll all the way down to location.

Select high accuracy under location mode.

Download GPS Test app and see if you can lock on any.

Mine locked on within seconds. Indoor.

Few days back I tried outdoor, data off and in a moving car.. it was searching for few mins before I gave up coz needed direction in a hurry.

Then I switched on data (celcom), locked on within a minute then remained connected & accurate all the way.

I think your unit wasn't properly assembled after screen replacement. There are many parts need to be shielded or it will cause gps or proximity sensor to malfunction.

Since 7.0.12 was taken offline, I updated mine manually using twrp.

Just now I ran the Updater and it says no update available. Then I pressed the top right icon and select download update and it worked.

Finished update, still ver 7.0.12.0.

What's new:



Slight performance gain.

I was already on 7.0.12. Updated manually using info on the 1st page. Last night I saw the update is on air again, I ran the updater and it said no update. Then I pressed the top right ... icon, download update, then download started.

Weird thing is even now I can still start the download using the same procedure.



So far didn't notice anything significant on battery performance.

For manual update I suggest using twrp.

Is your phone rooted? Try with a different card?

What were you trying to do with your sd card anyway? For me I just dump media files and apks on it.

That shouldn't be a problem. What's the spec of your card? I am using 64GB CL 10 without any issue. May be you can try to format the card into FAT32. Backup your files using pc 1st, after format move files back to the card and try with your phone again.

If I were you I will try the card with other phone (preferably another MI phone), and try other card on your phone. Last resort, format the card and try again.
