QUOTE(zangief @ Nov 30 2015, 12:37 PM) Mine locked on within seconds. Indoor. Could you try different permutations (indoor/outdoor, data on/off etc) and see how fast it locks? And preferable with Waze/Gmaps too to see if it locks during navigation or not.

QUOTE(zangief @ Nov 30 2015, 12:48 PM) Few days back I tried outdoor, data off and in a moving car.. it was searching for few mins before I gave up coz needed direction in a hurry. Then I switched on data (celcom), locked on with a minute and remained connected & accurate all the way. Fantastic. I guess most people use GPS with data so it shouldn't be a problem then. Thanks for your feedback!

QUOTE(Eddy924 @ Dec 2 2015, 07:46 PM) lazada just shipped out my order, they using ninja van courier company, anyone heard or experience with this company before? wondering how fast their service, problem is they do not have contact no for us to call them follow up My experience with Ninjavan (from Zalora) is that they are a bit slow...expect to wait longer compared to the usual courier guys or even PosLaju. Btw, mine has been shipped today by Ninjavan too. Hopefully it will arrive within this week. EDIT: I paid with credit card This post has been edited by ckweng: Dec 2 2015, 08:18 PM

QUOTE(deblyrie @ Dec 2 2015, 08:54 PM) My new case [attachmentid=5428807][attachmentid=5428813] deblyrie I'm interested to get a similar one like this too. Do you have tempered glass installed? If yes, does the bumper enclose the screen (with tempered glass) well? Also, i noticed in the pic that the front part's lower right corner doesn't fit too well right?

QUOTE(deblyrie @ Dec 3 2015, 12:19 AM) i installed the original tempered glass from xiaomi china..really superb quality with less finger print..the case does fit nicely..not loose at all.. Thanks for your feedback! I guess it was light reflection at that angle that made the corner look like it didn't fit. I've bought the ipaky case but silver colour. Will probably source for Niilkin tempered glass. Guys, just make sure that the tempered glass you're buying have a cut out or hole on the right of the earpiece to make way for the proximity sensor.

QUOTE(okuribito @ Dec 3 2015, 01:40 PM) Thanks ckweng dunno why i cannot go lelong.my but found on 11streetmy. hehehe 25.99 + 6 shipping = 31.99 Not too bad lah but if use maybank credit card 11% off. Now if I can only find a good screen protector / tempered glass thingy & buy one shot to max the 11% disct btw just received mine... lazada staff with orange lazada shirt on motorbike fingers crossed unboxing got no surprises will register later lah ps: 11streetmy got consolidated shipping or not? ie 1 shipping charge for SP & back cover? You're welcome. Can try and select the items from the same seller, maybe can combine shipping. For 11street, you can try and get the 50% off first purchase (no min spend) coupon on the APP. I think you need to navigate on the moving banners within the app to see this: 11street 50%Still haven't received mine from Ninjavan. But it's on vehicle for delivery now.

QUOTE(hightechgadgets8 @ Dec 3 2015, 02:21 PM) ninja van, you wont see it coming The pun...lol By the way, Ninjavan once asked me to collect at a random spot in Midvalley because they couldn't find their way to my office tower. Said Zalora didn't cover their parking cost. Well, they're like a logistics start-up so we will have to give them chance then

Chatted with Mi Support. They said that Lazada is their recognised reseller and they do sell authentic Mi phones. However, the question lies with the warranty whether it's Mi Malaysia warranty or not. Need to confirm my IMEI with them once I receive the phone.
What we can do now is don't open the phone and hopefully we can return and ask for a full refund if Lazada did misrepresent to us!
Feeling slightly disappointed now.

QUOTE(Lakum @ Dec 3 2015, 04:56 PM) I just called xiaomi service centre at that 1800 number. He asked me the emei no and then straightaway said my full name and my order date. He said that don't worry, my set is under their warranty although got hk sticker. He also said, just keep the packing list come in the box for warranty. Lakum Where did you buy from? Lazada or Mi Malaysia?

I have verified with Mi Malaysia that my set (bought from Lazada) is original, but warranty is not under Mi Malaysia.
I've also contacted Lazada. Right now their understanding is that it is under local warranty but they will check further and get back to me by tomorrow. They said that if it's confirmed that the product is not as claimed (local warranty) on their website, i can return and obtain a full refund.
I will rely on Mi Customer Service's confirmation that it's NOT a local set, even though Lazada or its supplier (ECS Astar) says it is. My next cause of action will be to return and refund after receiving a call from them.

QUOTE(okuribito @ Dec 3 2015, 06:04 PM) come lah join the gang. We fight for option 3. make them give us xiaomi msia warranty sets their next sale / availability is on 10/12 - we only have a few days to take action In the meantime, we all shud do like joexoll & post disappointed review on their product sales page. saw someone oredi posted with his order number. That should make them sit up & take notice If they can offer me a replacement Malaysia set, I wouldn't mind to go for option 3 and petition them. See what they can offer first. If not convincing enough, i will return then.

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Dec 3 2015, 07:45 PM) I don't get what is the fuss of being not Xiaomi Malaysia warranty or not. Your RN2 are covered by Lazada, which mean whether is Xiaomi Malaysia or other country warranty, once you send your phone to local service center. All the costs is bear by Lazada. Lazada are official reseller and distributor of Xiaomi Malaysia. The thing is the current status of the Lazada RN2s are only as good as AP sets. If Xiaomi doesn't recognise it as local set, they wouldn't even take it in for service. Would you take an AP set to a local service center? Then the owners will need to deal with Lazada, and they in turn will look for 3rd party repair and service. I think Lazada themselves are not entirely sure of their batch of stock too. Well they can't be an "official reseller/distributor" if what they are holding are only AP sets. This post has been edited by ckweng: Dec 3 2015, 07:55 PM
