Could you try different permutations (indoor/outdoor, data on/off etc) and see how fast it locks? And preferable with Waze/Gmaps too to see if it locks during navigation or not.

Wrong info. Earlier somebody clarified with Lazada that it's indeed MTK Helio X10 chipset.

My experience with Ninjavan (from Zalora) is that they are a bit slow...expect to wait longer compared to the usual courier guys or even PosLaju.

Btw, mine has been shipped today by Ninjavan too. Hopefully it will arrive within this week.

deblyrie I'm interested to get a similar one like this too. Do you have tempered glass installed? If yes, does the bumper enclose the screen (with tempered glass) well? Also, i noticed in the pic that the front part's lower right corner doesn't fit too well right?

Thanks for your feedback! I guess it was light reflection at that angle that made the corner look like it didn't fit. I've bought the ipaky case but silver colour. Will probably source for Niilkin tempered glass.

Guys, just make sure that the tempered glass you're buying have a cut out or hole on the right of the earpiece to make way for the proximity sensor.

Chatted with Mi Support. They said that Lazada is their recognised reseller and they do sell authentic Mi phones. However, the question lies with the warranty whether it's Mi Malaysia warranty or not. Need to confirm my IMEI with them once I receive the phone.

What we can do now is don't open the phone and hopefully we can return and ask for a full refund if Lazada did misrepresent to us!

Feeling slightly disappointed now.

Yes of course. Mi Malaysia chat support need the IMEI to check. Anybody contacted Lazada already?

I have verified with Mi Malaysia that my set (bought from Lazada) is original, but warranty is not under Mi Malaysia.

I've also contacted Lazada. Right now their understanding is that it is under local warranty but they will check further and get back to me by tomorrow. They said that if it's confirmed that the product is not as claimed (local warranty) on their website, i can return and obtain a full refund.

I will rely on Mi Customer Service's confirmation that it's NOT a local set, even though Lazada or its supplier (ECS Astar) says it is. My next cause of action will be to return and refund after receiving a call from them.

If they can offer me a replacement Malaysia set, I wouldn't mind to go for option 3 and petition them. See what they can offer first. If not convincing enough, i will return then.

The thing is the current status of the Lazada RN2s are only as good as AP sets. If Xiaomi doesn't recognise it as local set, they wouldn't even take it in for service. Would you take an AP set to a local service center? Then the owners will need to deal with Lazada, and they in turn will look for 3rd party repair and service.

I think Lazada themselves are not entirely sure of their batch of stock too. Well they can't be an "official reseller/distributor" if what they are holding are only AP sets.
