1. Seek for permission from ur father
2. Read again n again at the first page of this thread and check whether hedgie is a suitable pet for you plus think whether u can take the responsibility after having it as a pet..
2. Prepare at least RM 400 (RM 300 for hedgie, balance for storage box, bedding, food + drink bowl)
3. Find someone who got hedgie for sale (try looking at the garage sale)

Yeah, today give a shampoo wash for my Bo Chai, althought still got some smelly but it quite nice already

Just now after bathing then play with him for long time

after reading thorught so many pages of post, it seems that people dont agree on buying hedgehog from pet shops>...<

even the famous shops in supermarkets??
cause i live in kedah , and nobody breeds hedgehog

i bought some from pets safari today, coz can't get the processed ones...using tweezer and put on my palm to feed her...

i keep those mealies in a very shallow tupperware, hopefully they don't crawl out

Hahaha... You can put them in the tofu fa container. Just make holes on the cover. They can't crawl out. Dump some vegie or kibbles for them to eat & they live long time.

GreenNerdy if she can stay at your hand, poo poo is ok la.
My Bo Chai won't stay on my hand 1, always want to run out, althought I'm holding him.... He just like say " Let me go, let me go"

Oh now i know 1 way can easy and safety hold Bo Chai up by using hand, just hold below his body and direct take him up Easy then i use 2 hand catch him. Like playing smack down with him .

whenever i hold her up from the bottom she sure put all the quill up at first...sakit hati see her so scared...dunno when can she stop doing that

Never get hedgehogs from petshops.... it may be tempting but then there is a very high risk of mites, sickness, some may be older than you think.... best is find breeder lah. We got a few breeders here, but do be aware of who is a good breed and who is not recommended.

Of course! I have 3 hedgehogs and 3 dogs, but then only 1 dog is allowed to be around my hedgehogs lah. Firstly, test your dogs, do they like to chase small animals? If they do, then you must control them 1st like not chasing it but sit and wait.

uh oh, methinks it is their nature to chase little 'animals', MS were afterall meant to be 'rodent' hunters... so no snakes, no hedgies... perhaps i'll get another dog

I know some dogs chase coz it's their instinct.... my Chelsea will for awhile, later she just don't bother hahaha. Nairud's Piper thinks my hedgehogs are balls that she can play with.

i am going back to my hometown soon which is penang so is it ok to bring my babies back to penang from kl with me?
i mean like going up hill all the ear pressure stuff and also around 5hours trip..

Hehe i get my Bo Chai from pet safari 1, that time got a beauty lady call me buy, acutally i saw her playing around and before that i also want to get 1. Normally i saw those hedgehog at there are big big 1, suddently that time got 2 baby there and they playing around, so i direct take him back , nothing happen until now, just smelly ( all is my fault )

Today Bo Chai do 1 action quite funny, normaly when i put my hand near him, he will come to lick or use those power quill chase me, but today he use his head ( front part without quill that area ) knock me .
