Everything living thing should be in a pair eventhough human, they will feel lonely if they live alone. Try to think if the world left ONLY you ? Do you feel happy ?

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Sep 25 2007, 08:17 PM) Hahah,... congrats! Well, do not touch the babies. Leave it be. Don't disturb the box. The thing about breeding is that sometimes not all females are ready to be mothers.... she may reject them and she may not. Best thing is leave it and do not touch the mom or the babies. Place food and water as usual and leave them like that for 2 weeks.... then only you can start to clean the tank. But the babies not in the box wor ?? Later the mother will carry the babies go in the box ? |

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Sep 26 2007, 08:38 PM) No, don't touch..... Hedgehogs are like that, not all hoglets make it coz it depends on the mom. You also cannot foster coz there is no such suitable substitute milk in the market for hedgehogs, only Esbilac and it is only available in Singapore. icic, thank Hun |

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Sep 26 2007, 09:21 PM) DEALING WITH REJECTED HOGLETS: http://hedgehogclub.com/breeding.html Yeah, depends on luck. Sometimes it may seem cruel to leave out the particular hoglet.... but then this is how the females deal with sick or weak babies, they leave them because they rather concentrate their strength and save their milk for the stronger ones that would survive. Mother hedgehogs know what to do, so if she rejects 1 hoglet, gotta accept it loh. Sometimes these things happen, depends on luck. |

QUOTE(rumizu @ Sep 27 2007, 11:58 AM) 1. Seek for permission from ur father .... 2. Read again n again at the first page of this thread and check whether hedgie is a suitable pet for you plus think whether u can take the responsibility after having it as a pet.. 2. Prepare at least RM 400 (RM 300 for hedgie, balance for storage box, bedding, food + drink bowl) 3. Find someone who got hedgie for sale (try looking at the garage sale) EDITED This post has been edited by climacool: Sep 27 2007, 04:07 PM |
