It's ok but it'll make your hedgie very stressful. Hedgie doesn't like traveling. So what you can do here is when you reach PG, leave your hedgie alone to settle down. It might even vomit or give watery poo, some even lost weight.

1, Nope
2, Two spoon of kibble per day
3, If you want to remove it, remove it during night time as hedgie is nocturnal. They need the hidebox to sleep during the days. How big is your storage box?
4, Don't feed daily, mealies are treat to hedgies, it's fattening
5, Spend more time on him, let him get used to your smells

Welcome.
The stress happened to Lucy before. She lost her weight until she's like a 2 months old hoglet, very very skinny. Thankfully she gains back her weight.

Try put them in a dark box while travelling. Darker place won't stress them too much. They feel better in darker place. You can try use shoe box to travel them back. Put some newspaper inside. But remember to make holes for air ventilation.

HAhaha... you may think a shoe box is not nice for them, but in fact hedgehogs prefer small confined dark places when travelling.... I used to carry my hedgehog in a shoe box when I have to bring it to places. Coz dark, they feel more comfortable. Do add bedding and some old towels, when traveling, they do tend to become stress and poo alot of soft green poo.

Air pressure, that I am not sure but they should be able to adjust for animals also can travel by plane, sure got pressure difference in the cargo area and passenger area.... should be ok but do monitor your hedgehog loh.

Now I have trained Crinkles and Donut to use litter box like a cat. Can say 80% successful hahahah... still got mistakes here and there but getting better everyday.

hi, i just cant go thru every page in this thread, to many, but if anyone ever notice where in LYN got pictures of baby hedgehog, like the one crazy_mouse put for the suggies. I saw a baby hedgies in Carrefour Subang, but i do think it's too small to be sell, also they had a couple of suggies which perfectly and exactly like the younger suggies that crazy_mouse post.
It's good for a newbie like me to know what's the pets look like when they are young, or before they can be separated from their mother.
I would appreciate it if anyone can show me some pictures. Thanks

Your storage box is ok. Mine is slightly bigger than yours (79 * 50cm) yet with wheel, hidebox & 2 bowls inside.

Try lure her with mealies. Lol.. When she erect her quills, use mealies or kibbles to lure her. I alway do that. laugh.gif

The hidebox you using is what ah? Igloo ah? Actually if you put a wheel inside, they don't need space to run. As long as there's a place for sleep, poo/pee, can put two bowls and a wheel, and there's a path to access to all these points, then it's ok d.
