true.. no more doppelganger distributor..
if u want to buy new, go to thailand still got distributor.. but to tell u the truth, for me its not worth it buying new. mostly their bike (fx siries) and other siries came with 6/7speed drivetrain. so u need to spend more for upgrade. as for me, im buying from japan used bike shop. this is the 2nd unit of my doppelganger. my 1st model is premacy.26er city bike that i convert it into 700c folding bike ![]() This post has been edited by azamunekurone: Jul 25 2017, 07:06 PM |

do remember also,
if u buy premium bike like KenC told, u can't sell ur bike fast. only collector/fan or someone with deep pocket can buy it from u, unless ur selling very2 cheap as for me,IMHO folding bike priced 4k above can get carbon roadbike. roadbike can sell much faster than folding bike if u intended to sell without huge price drop gap.. |

This is exactly what ppl do, even before buying the 1st, already planning on modding the 2nd bike, some even had a blueprint for 3rd and 4th. I keep reminding myself that I bought my bike as my outdoor gym, NOT for modifications. Thats just me, everyone is their own.
Sometimes I win sometime I loose… (loose when modifying for the sake of modifying) Its hard man… so bloody hard not tinkering… LOL This post has been edited by KenC: Jul 26 2017, 07:02 PM |

Just sharing..
Bicycles and bicycle parts are cheaper in Thailand because there are no taxes to import from China. From one of sources: According to 2013 report, with a population of 67 million, Thailand sells between 1.3 and 1.5 million bicycles annually. There are four major bicycle assembly firms in Thailand: LA Bike, Strongman, Siam Cycle and Optima. Strongman mostly exports its bikes, while Siam, in contrast, sells its entire output in Thailand. Optima, which is one of Raja's brands, mostly relies on parts imported from China, which are then assembled in Thailand. There are very few parts manufacturers in Thailand, with the majority of parts imported from Vietnam, China, and Taiwan. |
