Guys, i need some advise. I have an Altis with a weird tyre size 195/55/16 and many people have advised me to change to 205/50/16. May i know which tyre is the best? I want something which is quiet. Michelin is too pricey and the car does not travel much. Many people have recommended continental but i'm not sure whether it is good. Pls advise. Thanks.

Dun change to 50series....stick to 55...I know cause I'm using 50 on Vios also very bad comfort over uneven roads..there are lots of it in Malaysia...and Toyota parts are Not the best of quality...only change to 50series if you wanna drive and corner faster than usual.

Apparently for 195/55R16, Falken ZE-912 is available for it, I saw some dude selling it for RM650 a set over here, but they are manufactured 2008 tyres. I'm not affiliated with the seller though, just pointing it out

Even the current tyre thread is still more than 70% but it's 5 years plus. I heard falken is not so good. Is it true? If i compare with good year eagle is it better? Of course compared to Eagle F1, there's no comparison, the ZE-912 is a normal tyre compared to the F1 which is marketed as a high performance tyre.

If i compare with good year eagle is it better? goodyear eagle r not at the same tier as Ze912, goodyear eagle is consider performance, and cost more than Ze912 if u want to compare, maybe u should compare Ze912 with michelin Xm1, goodyear NCT5, i dont think there's a need to compare with NCT5, OEM tyres just suck in term of performance, they r more towards durability.

I think there is no XM1 for the size i want in michelin. They only have PP2 and one more i can't really remember. Both are quite expensive. I've been looking thru continental. It seems ok but what u guys think? Since both of u are quite well verse with it, pls suggest a good brand for me. Main thing is comfort, quiet and good grip. Thank you. Xm1 not available in 205/50R15? i'm using Ze912 now, so i know the tyres, actually is Grexer recommend me this tyres also, it make my previous OEM NCT5 like nothing when compare in term of noise and grip they said the grip of Ze912 in wet condition not that good, maybe my tyres still new, i found it so good, never skid before. not to mention, the price of Ze912 r affordable, RM150 for 185/60R14 for my car
