You can downsize to 13", either 155/65R13 or 165/60R13. Shouldn't be too hard to get wheels for it due to it's PCD100, a lot of 13" wheels available in that, the easiest is to get Wira stock wheels

Viva stock is 155/65R13. I think You can't really downside to 12" for the Kenari/Kelisa(not confirm) due to the size of the front brakes, moreover, it's probably kinda hard to get 12" wheels in PCD100.

QUOTE(McRyan @ Jun 29 2008, 10:01 AM) wira wan is 175/70R13 la, too big to fit in, between 155/65R13 & 165/60R13, which is more comfy ? thx The one with the higher aspect ratio will usually be more comfy, so i'll have to say 155/65R13, but I think you'll be kinda limited for that size. I reckon the Yokohama AA01 in 165/60R13 will be good, i'm using that on my KancilQUOTE(McRyan @ Jun 29 2008, 04:32 PM) U can fit, but provided your car ain't lowered, coz the rear tyre might fit the fender under heavy load. |

QUOTE(McRyan @ Jul 1 2008, 06:45 AM) Not really... Malaysia's tyre market is really weird one Like last time Kancil uses 145/70R12 as stock size from factory, then when you want to replace, u virtually can't find any tyres of that size, and the tyre shops will tell u "change to 155/70R12 la.. same one la.." which in fact, wif the bigger width, the speedo reads incorrectly. Well... u can try to shop for 155/65R13, but you would probably be limited to Goodyear GT3 or Silverstone PowerBlitz 1800 only. I'm not sure if Yokohama AA01 has that size, but for sure 165/60R13 it's available as I just changed mine yesterday. Can't comment much as I've just changed them yesterday and needs at least 500km first before i comment. But initial feel is that they are much more comfortable than the Silverstone PowerBlitz 1800 that they replaced(came with the used rims I bought so I just used them while saving for tyre change) |

QUOTE(xtorm @ Jul 1 2008, 10:52 PM) Nope, haven't set off to find, need to fix my rims first QUOTE(MobyDick @ Jul 2 2008, 09:56 AM) My car is a Daihatsu Charade Aura 1.5(A), now using 175/70/13, thinking of replacing rim & tyre to the ones used in Kenari Aero 165/55/14 to save fuel. Do you think it's advisable to do this mod? That kind of undersizing will affect your speedo reading, also not to mention comfort levels will go down and also less traction in the dryQUOTE(McRyan @ Jul 2 2008, 01:59 PM) pro, how bout tiara's 155/70R13? can masuk ? 155/70R13 can masuk, but speedo reading might run, meaning if u do 100km/h on your meter, your car's speed is actually more than 100km/h. Yes, first batch Kelisa/Kenari is using 165/60R13, certain batches also came wif 155/65R13.how much the used rim u bought ? i noticed tat kelisa ori is 165/60R13 rite ? the 1st batch kenari is using this tho My rim... I got them for quite hefty a price, no regrets as I bought it for the rims rather than the tyres |

My bad, the 155/70R13 would not affect your speedo reading by too much(the difference is insignificant) if your car came stock with 165/55R14.
What tyre choices u have for 155/70R13 anyway? I think if you manage to find stock Kelisa/Kenari 13" wheels, you won't have any problem wif the tyre hittnig the fenders/mudguards. |

QUOTE(McRyan @ Jul 3 2008, 05:42 PM) tiara tyre size just have yokohama s306 & silverstone 123 ( something like that ) I think if i want better tyres then have to stick with 165/60R13, more tyre choice. not sure if the Kancil's 155/70R12 will fit your Kenari's front brakes, just stick with 13", 12" rims for Kenari hard to find.13" is nice, just wondering which to take 165/60R13 or 155/65R13 or 155/70R13 ? kancil wan 155/70R12 ok ? Been using my Yokohama AA01 165/60R13 for around 2 weeks now(mileage done around 250km) |

QUOTE(highwind85 @ Jul 18 2008, 12:56 PM) The specification of the tire listed in the perodua page is 165/55 R14...what does this mean? I'm in selangor, kajang area.... U need to have a budget range or expectation. But if it's for "bread and butter" usage, I would recommend Yokohama AA01, the price for 165/55R14 was RM120/each before the price increase. |

QUOTE(highwind85 @ Jul 21 2008, 11:59 AM) Ooo....Thanks...Coz this is my first time buying tires so i dunno what price to expect....i'm looking for something simple and basic....when i googled around i found michelin XM1...anyone noe what is the price which could fit into a kenari (Original stock rim)? Am not too sure whether the local distributor brings in the XM1 in that size, if you are looking for something simple and basic, then u should look for Yokohama AA01, Continental Comfort Contact-1, those are the better simple and basic tyres in 165/55R14 size. Simple and basic and slightly better performance(than the stock SIME or Silverstone tyres) - Yokohama A.Drive AA01 - Continental Comfort Contact-1 (also commonly known as Continental CC-1) - Goodyear Ducaro GA - Falken ZIEX ZE-326(old discontinued model in Japan and had been replaced by ZE-329, I wouldn't really commend this thread having bad experience with it on other cars i mounted them on) Slightly better performance than stock - Bridgestone Potenza RE030 - Hankook Ventus V8-RS(I heard quite it's quite recommend over at K2OC forum, going for around RM130 with trade in, quite worth it's performance) High Performance - Bridgestone Potenza RE-01 - Yokohama AD07 I can recommend you a decent place to get tyres if you are keen. QUOTE(McRyan @ Jul 22 2008, 02:34 PM) Unfortunately, I have no ideas of the comfort levels as comfort tolerance varies between persons, and also, I only own a Kancil which just so happen to be running on 165/60R13, don't have a Kelisa/Kenari around so no ideas. Was initially inclined to getting a used set of 155/65R13 Goodyear GT3 from a Viva owner that done around 1500kms on it but he doesn't want to budge from his RM300 asking price so I decided to just screw it and get new tyres instead.QUOTE(sranua @ Jul 22 2008, 03:04 PM) I'm looking for 155/65R13 Michelin XM1 tire, but get Michelin Certis instead. Dunno it goods or not compared with XM1..but I feel being cheated la..RM140.00 per tire. Michelin Certis? Where did u get it for RM140? Did u check it's manufacturing date? Certis is the older version of XM-1, but the last i heard, it's already discontinued for quite a long time. That price is still quite ok actually if it's fresh tyres, i got my Yokohama AA01 165/60R13 for RM125 before the 1st July price increase. |

Ok. but I think you don't have to quote the WHOLE posting of mine, kinda makes the thread cluttered. So what sizes are the Certis available in? Ish... Knew about this too late if they have 155/65R13 or 165/60R13

QUOTE(jeff_ckf @ Jul 24 2008, 11:58 PM) Hi all, The best value for money tyre in the 15" category now seems to be the Falken ZE-912, Think it's RM180 for 195/55R15My car tyre just got punctured and need to replace it already. Any recommendation for good 195/55/15 tyres? Currently using Silverstone Synergy M5. What are the best of these ya? And what are the price of other recommended tyres? Thanks all Added on July 25, 2008, 4:46 pm QUOTE(cheeann @ Jul 24 2008, 10:10 PM) Got what size? Also, u sell them? What's the pricing like?QUOTE(aremalzz @ Jul 24 2008, 10:42 PM) I think Toyo Trampio is already discontinued for that size, I was also trying hard to look for it back when I was shopping for 13" for Kancil. I ended up getting Yokohama AA01. Very little good choices for Kancil actually. Heard earlier on in a few postings that there's Michelin Certis in 155/65R13 size. Not a bad choice IMO.This post has been edited by GRexer: Jul 25 2008, 04:46 PM |

QUOTE(laichong @ Aug 4 2008, 06:44 PM) thanks GRexer for the info.. Well... if you can, just give those Klang shops a call first. Sometimes, personally, i felt going all the way to Klang(moreover, I had been trying to know how to get there but received no help whatsoever and I had given up) is a bit of a hassle just for a little cheaper, especially wif days like these when petrol pricing has increased. Stamford is recently on a drive to sell at lowest possible price as far as I know, they used to be costly.i guess i'll drop by Klang again this saturday when i back from JB.... i think klang should have cheaper price.. HupSoon is also giving the same price the last I checked, coaxed the boss in Sunway a bit u get to refill with nitrogen for free if u get all 4 tyres. But of course, Stamford Tyres will guarantee the freshiest of stocks for the tyres. |

QUOTE(chinesepunk123 @ Aug 13 2008, 01:32 AM) Hey bros, RM130-170 should be able to get Falken ZE-912, the 195/55R15 is RM180/each so the 195/50R15 should be cheaper.Im new here so i was hoping u guys could help me out with the price. Saw that the price was last updated in 2007. Would like to enquire wats the best price for a 195/50/r15 tyre. Budget would be around rm130-170. For city drivin mostly, and at night, to play around a little bit only. Wat brand of tyres would u brothers suggest? I heard that 195/55 is not so comfortable. FYI, im a student lor. So only drive to college n back, and also normal outings only. hope u guys can help. Thx alot! Actually, I ain't too sure what makes you say that 195/55R15 is not so comfortable. If you compare the same brand, the 195/55R15 would be more comfortable due to a thicker sidewall thus more "cushioning" effect, but if you are looking for better steering response only the 195/50R15 is better. If you compare different brands between the 195/50R15 and 195/55R15, then there's a possibility that a brand's 195/50R15 is more comfy than another brand/model's 195/55R15 due to different tyre compound. |

Free alignment depends on the shop. Most shops only give free alignment if you asked and also if you bought 4 new tyres.
Each new tyre would sure to come with free installation and balancing. |

QUOTE(blah18 @ Aug 19 2008, 08:54 PM) Any1 know the price for the following tires? Size:195/55/15 S306 is discontinued and had been replaced by A.Drive AA01Place: Klang Valley Yokohama -S306, AA01, C.drive (are they available in here) Bridgestone -Turanza ER30, MY-01 Goodyear -NCT5 Michelin -XM1/Energy XM1 Thanks in advance. I guess most people would avoid getting back the Goodyear Eagle NCT5 for brand new after the first use when it came with the car, as the price doesn't justify it(More expensive than most "bread and butter" tyres) As for the MX-1 and Energy XM-1, both are actually the same, except for the 175/70R13 size where the XM-1 doesn't come with the energy compound which supposely saves fuel. As for your RM200/piece budget, there's quite a few comfort and decently performing tyres, Yokohama AA01, Falken ZE-912, Hankook V8-RS, Hankook V12 Evo are the few choices, and also if you are lucky, you might be able to get the Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 for less than RM200(old price) QUOTE(guest18 @ Aug 20 2008, 06:40 PM) Sumitomo had not been selling in Malaysia for some time, you might want to check the manufacturing date on the tyres before buying. On the other hand, for this 13" size of 175/70R13, you have limited choices, one of the better ones with a decent price would be Yokohama AA01, should be around RM110/each. |

Savvy is 175/50R15 and it seems there's only Goodyear NCT5 locally, recently joined by a certain Dunlop model(can't recall it's model number)
Actually, 175/55R15 is already upsized from the stock 145/65R15, and 175/55R15 is used as stock rear tyres, which have been upsized to 195/50R15, don't think can fit 195 in front due to the wheel width and also it will scrub the front fenders during full lock turnings. 175 seemed to be the max, in fact, 175 seemed to be the max on any size, even the Brabus edition which runs bigger wheels have 175/50R16 in front but 205/45R16 or a massive 225/35R17 behind This post has been edited by GRexer: Oct 10 2008, 02:34 PM |
