yeah you're right, I wonder why they're not getting perma staffs? knowing their short of staff situation.

btw they're not getting perma staffs any time soon? at least until what month next year?

reasonable. this is because most of the candidate just enter for their RESUME.
the turnover rate is very very high.
I can even judge ahead, that out of 100% of these contract candidate, more than 90 % will be refuse to prolong or accept the permanent position after their contract period.
The reason is very simple, they cannot withstand the work pressure.
I know this because I saw it with my own eyes.
The problem is not the big4, is the candidate itself.

ah i see.... so it's for their protection i guess, it means i should go for it.
If i cant take it, can leave after contract period, if can take it, will officially be perma staff, as simple as that isn't it?

I can't say if i can take it or not, but right now i'm in a mid-tier, the pressure is comparable to big 4 if i'm not mistaken, turnover is high i can see it from my eyes too, people are leaving, one by one told me their exit plan secretly.

Initially i can't really take it and wanna go home early, as time goes by, i won't look at the clock anymore, going back at what time doesn't concern me anymore, it's like i'm getting used to it gradually, i'm immune to long hours now.

Your reply is really amazing. Dont tell me you just to earn lowyat point /grade.

Anyway, thank you for your wish

No, i don’t care about lowyat point or grade. There are no specific industry for each department in KPMG. It really just depends on what client you are assigned to. Audit M just recovered from a shortage of seniors and managers, so you should be fine.

Your info is quite detail. Thanks a lot

Almost every post I read about M (from 2009 till today) is the shortage of resource/planning issue.

Is it because of the Big Bang "TOP"'s issue?

You mean you're currently an experienced associate/senior in mid-tier firm but still considering to go for 4-month contract in PwC? Meaning you'll quit a perma job for a short contract job hmm.gif

What are you gonna do if you or PwC decide not to extend your contract? shocking.gif

Getting interview yes, getting the job no (Hint: it depends on your interview performance). Giving you the interview may be just to "jaga muka". It will be a different story if your referral is a partner or tan sri.

Hi, I went for ey interview last week. At the end of the interview, my interviewer did talk about the position they will offer me and also asked about salary expectation. Does this mean that my chance of getting the offer is high? I'm confused. :/

Usually how long will I know whether I'm accepted or rejected after the interview?
*
Hi, I just received an email for me to complete the online assessment. If I pass then I would have a face to face interview at EY. Do you mind sharing your experience? Was the test hard? and how was the interview for you? Thank you. Means a lot!

Hi, I just received an email today to complete the online assessment from EY. Could you elaborate further about the test?

Is it like a personality test or is it more of like an IQ test? Thank you!

What's the reason behind?
For me they said my qualification not good enough, i wonder if you get the same answer.

If you're acca affiliate and still get this then i don't know what should i say.

I applied when I'm an acca finalist, now im affiliate but need wait 6 months to reapply cuz didn't get in last time using finalist status

I think it's because of my result, 3.1 only, and I haven't taken acca yet
I think you can consider the contract offered by pwc that you mentioned earlier

The online assessment is not meant to be finished, try to answer the question correctly, not answer as many questions as possible

First stage is group presentation on a topic
Second stage is f2f interview, the interviewer asked me technical question, but my teammates didn't get any, just chitchat
Third stage is essay writing

Too many people apply for kpmg.
Unless you are very powerful in both academic and co-curriculum, if not it is EXTREMELY difficult to enter KPMG by direct applying.
