To Increase performance and efficiency based on you consideration.

1. go find Honda City OEM 15" Sport rim and use 175/65 R15 Tyres. Tyre pressure at minimum 33Psi all round
2. Strut bar does improve a bit
3. Next service change to 5W 30 Engine oil, Perodua brand is cheap.

you will find you Saga improved and lovely to drive.
*
I'm loving my City OEM rims with 175/65/R15 tyres!

But any reason why to keep minimum 33psi all round?

33psi translates to 227kpa. I assume 230kpa is fine.

renjiv2 175mm with 185mm, 10mm difference not much.

if change tyre when thread still good, waste money only. change to wider tyre which is 10mm difference is no difference.

change from 13" to 15" rims and tyres, that's have difference.

try claim at other SC pls. if SC like that, i straight go other SC. boycott that SC.
i have experience on two SCs. one is at Taman Midah. good at servicing, but for claim warranty, they never bother, pls avoid them. at Khasiat Jati @ Keramat AU2, good at servicing and claim warranty/change parts. fixed my boot lid spring, handbrake adjustment, rear brake jam, tightening screw at steering rack.

all SCs are ok for normal servicing, but only some SCs are good for claiming parts on warranty.

if you still wanna done at outside shop, can try go at places like :
1) EA Autoworks @ Bukit Jalil (some forummers have been there)
2) XD Autowerkz or @ Kepong (Ken Goh's workshop)
3) Tom's Auto (Jalan Ipoh) (been there, also recommended by davidke20)
4) Zordaq Motorsport (Shah Alam or Bangi) (some forummers have been there)
5) Autohaus KL @ Keramat AU3 (my personal favorite workshop, like proton authorized workshop but lower price)
6) Kean Lee Hin @ Jalan Ipoh (for balancing, tyre problem) (nestum's workshop)
7) Weng Heng Tyre & Auto service @ Puchong) (good friend Emens Lew is working there)

Besides looks..

Not necesarrily true..
Wider rubbers offer better grip in the dry.. the wider it is, easier to hydroplane..
Wider oso means itll have more rolling resistance n itll suck up wat little torque de little engine has n u will lose pick-up..
All trade-offs - never someting for nuthin

Thx a lot for advice. Front tyre was arnd 30-40% threat, rear arnd 50%. Was thought to change the pair of front 1st for wider tyre & exchange it to rear. If as said no much difference thn no point to change wider right?

Another question. If install anti roll bar on the stock car saga sv setup, does it make any difference for the car balance & cornering?

My point jz wanna make the car less bouncing & less leaning whn cornering without spent much on modifications. Plz advice & my apologies if the question been asked again on previous thread. Thx

Hi,'

Like l said earlier, there are trade-offs.. if u want better handling means a firmer suspension n wider tyres [ we are talking about dry weather.. here.. it seldom work for both..] n comfort n probably accelaration will suffer..
To me there is only a very slight difference [handling] in fitting those 'bars' - if u want a more visceral experience change the springs [preferably a decent branded one like Eibach - at least got some semblance of comfort left..]

Cheers smile.gif

That's a huge jump in size, are there no issues with rubbing against bodywork? have you used it with a CVT and does the Saga handle the gearing change from it OK?
It makes me tempted to try a set of 185/65-14 on Daisy's rims next change despite them naturally not being legal in our nanny country.

I've been using 175/65/R15 rims for more than a months now.

Overall, it's much more comfortable, stable and quiet (quiet due to tyre brand). This is felt immediately after changing the rims and I'm loving it more daily.

The tyres doesn't hit the fenders at all but it does hit the inner mudguard (or whatever is it). This only happens when I make a sharp turn or U turn.

The rubbing is very slight and it doesn't leave any marks. Btw, my Saga is a CVT. No issues on the gearing / CVT.

Only issue is the speedo shows a lower speed than actually.

For example, speedo is showing 110km/h but actual speed is around 115-117km/h.
