Most of my friends (Malaysians) started off around $2.8k in Singapore as civil engineers. So that ballpark would give you an idea.

Though I don't consider them low at all.

POSB no fees too. But rate will be lower than you change cash outside la.

heard that CIMB->CIMB offer best rate

Thanks Guys.

Just for the record i went to Maybank, CIMB, OCBC, UOB, and POSB.
Seems that only CIMB and POSB has no fees. the rest charge 20SGD and 10% fees.

But if not wrong normally need to change around 10k SGD only no charge right? Else it's around $20 fee right?

The remittance rate sometimes even better than the cash rate.

It's still easier to be able to carry out the transaction on your own. At least for me. I can transfer anytime I want (as long as within work hour).

Another problem is that all money changer at Arcade close super early. Not everyone work near there and can leave work on time rolleyes.gif

Erm... I started with even lower than 2.8 but 1 year later increased by 20%. Electrical engineer here. Jump another company probably another 15-20% jump hmm.gif But now market not very good doh.gif

The way you ask the question is not intelligent, that's why you get that kind of response. Should have ask first for anyone who works in Jurong Shipyard...

During this downturn whatever HR benefits available all this years may be reduced already

Depends, those 7 years how big are the projects you manage? $100k? $1m? $10m? fresh grad local uni degree holder median pay is $3.8k nowadays. Is your 7 years exp worth only an additional $1.2k?

Hi thanks for your comment... Honestly that 7 years experience was more into other area such as support and presales activity. PM is something new to me and was given an offer which Im still considering given the pay which you may be right.

for Singtel, you could actually tell from the Telco Corporate Individual Scheme (CIS) page when you key in your work email address.

Labour Day promo for Singtel under CIS. S$100 off for handset purchase, combo3 or above. free 24 months caller ID & international roaming. free Netflix subscription for 3 months. I just re-contracr one of my line. smile.gif
