They freeze bonus and increment as well as PROMOTIONsince 2014

I fight for my promotion last time then get increment to rm4000. I think i’m late to switch to another field because I already have solid experience in process engineering. But kenot pay bills using experience la, need money. We got a goal in our life. Want to buy house and car and house. I seeking for another job now. Maybe considering auditor or sap.

Mind to share which company is that? I m looking for internship in this coming June.

can you give me some tips on how to answer if the interviewer ask why do you want to quit your job or why did you leave your last job??

Earning 1k is like wtf. Unless you are talking about part time.

I just resigned from my previous company that offered me to become a team leader (soon asst manager) but I declined. I spent 5 years in my previous company 😔

Currently at this travel agency (focusing inbound, fit + online sales). So far no sales and Tbh I don't have any motivation at all. It all seems bleak to me. Is the salary very low ? The offer wasn't so good but I was struggling with the politics in my last company therefore I resigned without any option.

I am looking for a new job coz I can't cope with the salary. My previous company I could make at least rm4k with commission. I am basically surviving with my basic -epf (rm1.8k) now.

I am even thinking to change to a different industry and try different position. Any advise ? Should I give the travel industry a try ? Thnx

Salary too low even if its Ipoh. How old are you? If less than 35 just try changing things until you are good.

Yes. I might even go for sales industry because I don't think there is any office based work that has good offer. Is there anyone from Ipoh ? Feel like a loser here. Majority in lowyat <25 has better income than me. I can't go to KL due to family issue

Most here are KL, Penang which has higher income ratio or other countries la...very less people post for Melaka/Kedah/Perak one.

What family issue makes u stay at ipoh. I think for Ipoh max would be 7-8k but average around 3-5k if not business owners or high level managers. Just jump till you found job that you happy in salary and mentally.

That is the thing. Very less opportunity in Ipoh. My previous company is considered big in IT industry. My current is a startup 2 years travel agency. I joined because I ah e the same set of skills only in different industry. Everything we have to do our own. Their mission is to go for smtg like Expedia, traveloka those kind but how many freaking years I have to wait till that comes along

My probation ends next month. They will increase my salary another rm100 with bonus allowance (work and lunch on time rm180, etc rating rm100). These bonus will be given if I could come early. If late 1 minutes then it will be burned. Then in the 7th month, the bonus allowance will be given only if I could hit target. Within these 2 months I don't have any sales at all which lead to demotivation. Apart from the low salary, the environment and boss are good. Very comfortable. Experience wise, not sure what I can't get (am I too early to expect?) because I am only sitting in the office waiting for the sales to come, getting hotel contracts, visiting parks/hotel sometimes. The best thing I learnt is video editing (self learn) only. Haih, life is so hard here in Ipoh...

Basically I started working 4 years ago at around RM3k , made a wrong mistake and hopped to a company that didnt increment much. Now stuck at RM3.4k. I know it's bad, and I need to move a bit more. Now the big problem is I'm not 26. I'm a university flunkie who managed to scrape a degree together and am now a decade older than most of my peers. Is there anyway out of this ?

10k is before or after tax? oz tax is crazy high

Yes those work in overseas need to state pre-tax or post-tax income
If you earn aud10k per month in Australia, net of tax u can earn only aud8k? Since their tax rate is around 20%?

This income is comparable to Sg pre tax of sgd8.5k since singapore tax rate is much lower
