typically no hard and fast rule, normally the effective date is the date of your promotion letter and the same month you should see your increased salary by the end of the same month.

unless it is otherwise stated in the letter that it will be effective [date].

Im working for a Dutch Main Con. I started my career in Consultant firm. Hated it and only lasted 10months

Right now rail jobs can demand becoz there is a lot of ongoing and upcoming rail projects. Project director and deputy at my company salary is all more than 100k per month.

Already work at consultants for 3 years. Feeling want to change job. When call tender or busy period, working 7 days a week from 9am to 11~12 mid night
