Anyone attached with HSBC? My friend received offer as band 5. Any idea on band 5? Is it good to progress further at HSBC?

HSBC or HDPM?

There is band 0 - 8. Lowest is 8. Band 5 min salary is 11k. Benefits differ greatly depends on you r on as HSBC or HDPM

QUOTE(nooby999 @ Sep 16 2017, 07:01 PM)
if not mistaken is assistance vice president (avp) position....I heard that got 1.3 k allowance every month and 30 days leaves ...is it true?

Depends you are HSBC or HDPM. If in HSBC a band 5 can be called analyst, assistant manager etc not necessarily AVP.

band 5 is a manager level role. which department? some departments are shitty, most are decent.

AVP/VP is the external titles, a b5 would hold a VP card but is just a manager. theres senior manager, director n then the c lvls above u.

I am in there so who is the one that is crapping? whistling.gif

Also...there is no so call external title as AVP just because is band 5. Get your facts correct. A band 5 will be called AVP in HDPM but also can be called as senior business manager if its in the management. If in the HSBC, a band can be assistant manager if its in the credit dept but also can be manager if in the trade dept. Its just a title..no so called if outside will be call AVP.

blatant bullshit that doesnt know but only "know" ppl there.

Please find me a band 5 with the title analyst/assistant manager or avp in HBMY/HBMS. The above 3 are band 6 titles.

We're talking abt HBMY/HBMS here la. not HDPM. maority in HDPM are 7/8. Band 5/6 there are "big shots"

Too bad

In HDPM band 6 is manager, band 5 is AVP. Band 6 is "big shots" OMG...my dept literally got 10 "big shots". OMG OMG OMG its big news need to report in newspaper tomorrow.

You don't know there is band 5 with analyst title? You don't have knowledge but want test people knowledge?

Nowadays this thread full with people with "PHD" that know every single inside and outside of every organizations. So pro..I respect.

Hi, I'm a bit curious about the results of an interview I attended last week. At the of the interview, my interviewer talked about the position they would offer me and he also asked about my salary expectation. Does this mean that my chance of getting the job offer is high?

Specifically which IT specialization? hardware/software/system/network etc
The pay can differ much depending on specialization and responsibilities.

Generally 4k with 3 years experience considered slightly above average I think.

show your portfolio to them, don't just show them your resume. What you did was far more important than what you learn during studies.

Age 26-30: 3500-5000
Age 30-35: 5000-8000+
