I believe your degree + 5 years of experience can easily earn you double that salary if you are to jump ship.

that is most ppl problem, too comfort with company but getting less salary.. jump ship, see if they counter..

with the company paying for your studies, im surprised you're not bonded to them at least for a couple of years.

if you like working there, (work-life balance seems decent) negotiate to get a better salary.

Is it just me, or people with low pay don`t share theirs here?
because from the looks of the salary posted by members here, The numbers are high and I don`t think that`s the average salary for most people.

Your previous experience does not even related to BA. How did you get hold on this position? The salary wise is quite gooding considering your age. I believe the longer you stay in the company, you can climb the corporate ladder and gain better earning.

To nego with your boss:
1) list out all your achievements
2) list out the reason why should the boss raise your salaries
3) list out what you can contributes to the company.
4) tell ur boss confidently how much you think you are worth.
5) pray for good news

Not really. A lot of MNC also practice the same. They didnt give very high increment unless the staff made a move from technician to engineer level.
I was in a foreign bank, the yearly increment quite slow, but they did provide a lot of employee career growth benefits etc. Promotion is based on seniority, performance, certification, which is review annually. From clerk promote to officer, the salary jump could be a few thousands.
Comfort zone or not is depends on how you think. Royalty give extra marks for people when comes to candidate selection. Some small enterprise willing to pay higher than the market rate, but they never take staff career growth into their business plan. Some people said that staffs from MNC are better in english communication. And I have seen a lot of MNC stipulated that they prefer MNC background whenever there any new intake.
Just my 2 cents.
