QUOTE(atrocitines @ Dec 30 2015, 09:18 PM) Hi guys, is it normal for people.who surfs the net on PC while someone watches hyyp TV to lag? When I called the tm guys, they asked to change the router. Does it the solve the problem? I am using the 30mbps package. For home usage, their equipment is fairly sufficient. How come the TM guy suggest you to change the router? they have no confident in their equipment and yet distribute it as their standard installation deviceIf im not mistaken, HyppTV is running on a dedicated line which is not shared with your package line (30Mbps in your case). Even when you fully utilize your 30Mbps, your HyppTV should not have performance degraded. This post has been edited by royal_jelly: Jan 1 2016, 12:29 AM |

QUOTE(andrew0813 @ Jan 1 2016, 12:37 AM) You need to use another router as VLAN switch then it will work. That's how I get it to work for my case. However, it requires some advance configuration. Just get the cheap TP-LINK Archer C20, cheapest Unifi Wireless AC router. This post has been edited by blacktubi: Jan 1 2016, 10:10 AM |

QUOTE(UserU @ Jan 1 2016, 02:24 PM) When pinging to South Korea (Seoul), what ping do you guys have? Mine at VIP10 has been hovering at 400ms+ for months. Previously it was at 200ms+. I'm getting around 400ms as well. Most likely to be routing issue or peering issueIs it UniFi's issue, bandwidth settings or the server problem? |

Because if you try pinging to Gimhae, the results would return 100ms+. yeah, I had some luck getting 100ms with some other korean sites. There's only two methods:1. Wait for TM to improve its peering(nothing you can do about it) 2. Try a lot of VPN and hopefully one of it has good peering between you <-> vpn <-> that korean website (something that you can do but it may cost you a bit and it may take quite some tries to get one that works for your case) |
