CSONLINE2.NET - FREE COUNTER-STRIKE

Guys, I managed to "downgrade" from VIP30 to the old VIP10 package but I have two questions: 1) Is it following the assymetrical or symmetrical infrastructure? That means if I download before uploading, the latter won't be affected.
2) Which DD-WRT firmware would be suitable? I had it previously installed on the DIR-615 but had to replace it. L7N R 2000 Revision A1

Anyone experiencing some issues with UniFi? Like Facebook pictures not displaying? Quora not loading upon scrolling down. Other sites are fine though.
It happens on Chrome. Not sure if it's DNS related.

When pinging to South Korea (Seoul), what ping do you guys have? Mine at VIP10 has been hovering at 400ms+ for months. Previously it was at 200ms+. Is it UniFi's issue, bandwidth settings or the server problem?

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Jan 1 2016, 02:34 PM) I'm getting around 400ms as well. Most likely to be routing issue or peering issue QUOTE(luqman98x @ Jan 1 2016, 02:46 PM) Also occurs with Streamyx.... (pinging kt.com, korean telco site) Thanks for the response. Is there a way to mitigate this? Because if you try pinging to Gimhae, the results would return 100ms+.

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Jan 1 2016, 03:03 PM) yeah, I had some luck getting 100ms with some other korean sites. There's only two methods: 1. Wait for TM to improve its peering(nothing you can do about it) 2. Try a lot of VPN and hopefully one of it has good peering between you <-> vpn <-> that korean website (something that you can do but it may cost you a bit and it may take quite some tries to get one that works for your case) 1. Complaining to them won't help? 2. I do have two VPNs (free and paid) but I'll give them a try to see whether they would decrease.

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Jan 1 2016, 04:35 PM) 1. may but mostly no, if yes we would have better speeds already 2. choose some servers that are near to MY, and see if the ping gets lower Used VPN, did the trick! Ping lowered to pre-400ms. Although this is a temporary measure for now since I rather not rely on VPN for gaming.

Routing has been shit for so many months. Now latencies on Taiwan servers are nearing 200ms when they were at ~50ms previously.

QUOTE(TheDeadlySins420 @ Jan 15 2016, 10:25 PM) Thanks anyone can recommend me good wifi modem? Budget below 300. Mostly for gaming & stream. 4-5 devices connected at the same time I've seen rave reviews about the Xiaomi Mi Mini router. Less than 100 bucks and supports AC. I'm planning on purchasing one.

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Jan 16 2016, 12:04 AM) if you're planning to get your nas "on wireless" instead of "on wired" then forget about it, the switch is just 100mbps. If not then it is a good buy Not using NAS here, so I'm good to go?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 16 2016, 12:27 AM) That's very cheap, cheaper than Xiaomi Store on Taobao. It is selling for RMB 129, which is around RM 86. QUOTE(Zi-Tech @ Jan 16 2016, 12:34 AM) that price for nano... mini need to add rm50... My bad, just realized the option has to be chosen from the drop down menu. That means +RM50.

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Jan 16 2016, 12:52 AM) Find agent to import it for you QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 16 2016, 12:59 AM) I bought mine from Taobao. I have a lot of China visitors coming from time to time or I go to Beijing quite frequent too. I found kopiPeng selling one. I prefer to have someone handle the warranty.

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Jan 16 2016, 01:15 AM) If at any point it fails, it would be cheaper to buy a new one rather than sending it back for warranty(you need to pay the fee to china and back to malaysia) Good point, hopefully it wouldn't happen at all
