Well lots. Last I read. Rm130m out of rm150m taken up already. So maybank will be holding rm150m. Big money and their reputation is on the line here.

I think if I am not mistaken there is a 13 months 4.2%. Check front page to confirm.

Not necessarily rm100k. You can split rm32500 into 30% and 70% and be eligible for both bank's offer.

BSN service is very slow and inefficient...I experieced that last time when my money was moved out due to my account is inactive. Need to go at least three times to get it settled

First time submitted info and passbook as proof. I was asked to come back after a few days for the bank to check. Second time went back, was told the status. Then .after 1 month nothing happen...
Third time went to follow up....
Then only receive an email on the status....

The working pace is the workers themselves didahulukan...

Ah Boom's picture can be shared with @gsc. He has very high standards on leng lui.

So far has no fd with BSN. So will continue to do that. But recently they may tried to change their image. FULL page advert in China Press last week.

Hopefully their service will be much better from now onwards.

Have tried to do online withdrawal for UOB's FD. But though today is due date, the FD is still NOT updated online. So tomorrow will have to take a look if I can do online termination. Then save a trip to UOB.

@gsc, I did not see any leng lui RM there, do you ?

One of my UOB FD's 6 month interest was paid one day later 2 weeks ago. System problem ?

i count it an Islamic FD, without Pidm, similiar to what offered by Bank Rakyat, MBSB, BSN

finally I just placed 5 years FD with Am Bank.

These 2 leng lui were in inside BSN lobby wor..? How to take picture..?
If I did it, BSN might think I was sent as a spy to take the bank picture before

I agree BSN service is got damn slow, the service is so slow that I really cannot tolerate...

By the way, when I withdrew my OCBC FD this afternoon, I noticed I got
a blinking "PB" status in OCBC computer. According to OCBC staff, my PB
status is forever shown in OCBC system even my AUM drops below RM 300K.

OCBC staff: Oh.. Mr Boom, why don't you go inside the PB room? Staff in PB room can
work faster for you.

Me: Hah..? You mean the Premier Room? I am not a premier customer anymore

OCBC staff: You see here (turned the monitor screen to me..), you have a PB status here..

technically speaking, fd whether conventional or islamic is capital and interest/sharing profit guaranteed. if you take a closer look to the t&c of maybank gia-i, capital and returns not guaranteed (even if you mention maybank unlikely to get bankrupt and so).

if not, we can put FP asx into this category as well.

BSN guaranteed by malaysia government
BR guaranteed by ministry of finance

(1) I do not want to put too many eggs in a basket
(2) aeiou suggested to put in Am Bank for 5 years PIDM protection
(3) AM Bank 5 years promo will end this month, I do not want to miss this 5 years FD promo
with PIDM

Am Bank gave me a camel coin box only
