Hi guys. Got the "Engine Fault: Repair Needed" error today. Second time already since last Thursday. Went to the Kota Damansara SC last Friday. He said most likely sensor issue, but no time to repair until after CNY. Told me to make a booking after CNY. Any advice from owners here? Go to another SC? Start the engine today, engine jerked a little then the error appear. Let it rest for about 15 min, then start again. This time jerked even more and then engine died. Then battery died, cannot start anymore. Same symptoms last time. Had to borrow a car to go to work.

Update: got my 408 turbo checked by Kajang/Sg Chua SC. apparently, it is high pressure fuel pump faulty. now under extended warranty, so need to claim from Tune Ins. SC said out of 20 cases maybe only 3 approved because they need flawless service records. Mine should get approval as I have good records. Anyway, I tell them to proceed n not wait for approval. I will pay first. Hopefully they will follow through with the claim. Cost is about RM 2500.
Should I tell them to check the water pump or other things mentioned here?

ask them check la.....don't make it a two time job......one time settle all..unless u have so much free time and money to visit sc which makes urs more happy to charge u labor charge rm80 for every visit. if u are on the spot kckc ask them about the recall, they sure know, than they will not act dumb and treat u like a fool.

for the water pump
so far no....only now we focus on turbo version.
your 408NA is same as 407 water pump....very reliable...no issues on that.

this recall is more toward 508 and 208...many improvement have been made for those two model.

High pressure fuel pump issue haven't solve yet? The fuel pump manufacture by Bosch? How much it cost? Hw to prevent it from getting faulty?
