Happy new year!

Got my aster gray 1.6thp as a new year's car!

Just a quick one, the first free alignment/balancing must be claimed within 250kms? If exceed can claim or not?

Another one, alignment n balancing do outside shop won't affect warranty right?

I know the endless problems you have had, salute you for your patience! Ones in a way a lemon popup, you were unfortunate  to get it. Am glad the problems are being fixed on warranty. With you warranty is being tested, we can gauge the quality of Peugeot warranty.

Thanks. So far no issues with warranty claim. Only the frequent needed visit to Glenmarie. My car is back in SC. Not sure how long.

Hi Guys,

Happy New Year. I am about to place my booking for 408 THP, would like to seek advice from fellow 408 owners here if I should opt to upgrade to the touch screen panel+reverse camera for additional RM2,500? Or i could find better after-market options out there with that price?

The SA told me that changing the audio system will not affect the warranty, but i would like to seek opinion from existing owners here on this matter.

Thank you in advance, hope to join the club soon!! icon_idea.gif

Had Power Steering Faulty - Stop sign. When it appears for a short while the steering wheel is hard and then back to normal.

I called them today and they told me it is because of my battery. Is it possible?

However, I did notice my voltmeter reading is low when ignition is on but normal when engine is started.

Happy New Year Team..
Sent my Lion to Puchong SC for air cond issue. Suspect compressor. They said might take 4-5 days.
My first complain for this issue was last Chinese new year.. hahaha!
Hopefully I can get back in this week.

The touch screen "claimed" to be original is actually just an aftermarket device just like others, it is not officially from Peugeot.
You can simply source from the market at your own sweet time.

Changing the audio system does and/ or doesn't affect warranty is still up to the Naza decision, unless the SA can provide black and white to support on his statement that Peugeot/ Naza won't void the warranty.

Did they tell you what the problem is. On this model, it is usually a faulty compressor internal bearing. They will order the part, which takes roughly 2weeks. Once the part has arrived it's roughly a 4hr job. No need to leave your car at the workshop for 3 -4 days.

Yes it is possible. The steering is a hydro-electric system. The steering turns are electrically processed and hydraulically executed at the wheels.

Yes. The ordering of part takes 1-2 weeks.
The replacement can be done within half day.

You still can drive your car around while waiting for the part, once the part arrive den only send in for replacement.

guys,

my pug has the same compressor issue but mine was more severe. The bearing broke and metal bits went into the system. They had to replace the condenser as well as the metal bits were clogging it.

It took me 1 months to get it replaced. I was lucky as the car were still drive-able for the initial 2 weeks to wait for the whole compressor, 1 week to get the compressor installed and the final week to wait for the condenser to arrive and installed.

My 60k kms major service were also completed at the same time. RM2.2k burnt!!

I was told only PJ, Glenmarie and Balakong has actual air cond technicians (which are also outsourced) to repair the cooling system. If you send your car to any other SC, they will be driven to their panel repairer.

oh yes, they also made a silent recall for the water pump. it was replaced FOC.

oh i almost forget

for those who planned to renew insurance this year.

etiqa quoted RM66k for a 2013 turbo and RM60k for a 2012 turbo.

alternatively aig can offer agreed value at 89k for my 2013 unit. premium is slightly higher but you get the full amount for total lost claims.

wind screen replacement prices went up as well. i just called nasim body and paint repairs centre and they asked me to insure RM3000 for windscreen and labour and another RM1300 for tinting.

OUCH!!

Did you pay for the air conditioner compressor and the condenser or those were replaced under warranty/extended warranty?

Good to hear that. It's also good to learnt that they are aware of the water pump issue but too bad they are getting it rectified silently.
