Hi Guys,

Is any 408T owner here using the Bluetooth OBD2 reader? Can you get any readings through the Torque app (or any other app)?

I have the bluetooth OBD2 device, but i cannot get any readings from the car. But i can get reading if i use it on other cars like 308 and RCZ.

So just wondering if anyone knows what is going on? How to solve it?

Thank you.

$144 is completely suicidal. C segment is very competitive . Naza is shooting itself in the foot!

Bear with me long post.

Last Sunday evening, I took my 408 t 2013 for a short ride. While at the traffic lights, noted that was a vibration on my steering wheel and a rattling sound from my engine. It went away on driving.

Got home, popped the hood, the rattling sound seems to come from the silver area right infront of the engine. It went away when the aircond was turned off and back on again when the ac turned on. Only when car is static the vibration is apparent.

So I took it to the klang sc, and they said straight that it's a aircon issue. They don't deal with it, so asked to send to glenmarie, where I have had bad experiences but no choice.

Sent on Monday morning, their sales person said the aircond tech has reviewed. No problem s with the electronics and only issue is the sound. It is functioning so there is no repair code.

Long story short, same story yesterday, and today.

Essentially there is a sound. A loud rattling sound, and just because it's working, they don't want to find out what is wrong with it.

Any advice?

Maybe can get 2nd opinion from outside workshop thats reputable. Verify whats the problem or maybe indeed no problem.
But still need to go back to SC if car under warranty.

New Ford focus is priced at $145k,maybe Naza is trying to catch the market by sneaking just under.

IMO 408e has alot to offer, especially the interior, way above the rest in it's class. I'm sure the handling will be very good, judging by 408thp! However I feel the biggest rival will be Hondas 1.5turbo Civic. Understand Civic is priced at $140k

408T will be the last Peugeot for me. 2 years + with the car, so many problems !! Have Honda that is already more than 7 yrs old, no problem at all.
Now aircond compressor kaput. Only warm air coming out. Complained at SC in Alma before reaching 100K, they ask me to go Butterworth. By the time i had time to go Butterworth SC, car already 101K. They say have to claim under extended warranty already and will take long time.
Yesterday trapped in traffic jam for more than an hour@ 35deg C and no aircond. Boleh muntah !!! Enough Peugeot for me !!!

Actually the aircon is not Peugeot made. It is Japanese brand, Denso. I am really surprised so many problems with this brand aircon!

Actually you are not alone. I won't buy another Peugeot as well; not in Malaysia with Nasim as distributor.
Nasim aftersales service is really pathetic, almost non-existent. I think they don't have the capability to handle Peugeot at all.

Peugeot supporters here please don't flame me. I am just speaking from my experience. blush.gif

This is a problem with recent franchise holders. They only think of profits. You should hear the horror stories from Ford & VW, shocking! Unfortunately we don't have a strong consumer association and therefore are at the mercy of unscrewplus businesses.

I will still buy Peugeots. They bring cutting edge technology with spectacular designs. The designs are out of the box thoughts. Yes Nassim may struggle. But after warranty, I don't bother with Nassim. I give my Lion the best maintenance and enjoy in return!

when come to service, i not sure yet~~ haha.... but shouldn't be that bad i guess n hope tongue.gif tongue.gif .... a friend of my dad, he owns a lot of Peugeot cars~~ starting from 504 - 405, 406, 407, 408, RCZ and the whole family members also using Peugeot, so far don't hear any complain from him in terms of service and maintenance...

Hahaha...... that a true Peugeot lover!

I have owned many different cars already. Have always found French designs unique & outstanding. Love Citroens even more, just a bit pricy!

If you love French cars, it is advisable to source for specialist workshops cos these babs sure need all the TLC you can give!

Hi,

Bought 408 model 2.0 back in May 2012. First time in 4 years, the car broke down on the road at Kajang SILK highway yesterday evening.

My speed gradually reduced and stopped. Been trying to push accelerator but nothing happens. Battery is ok & even starting the engine is fine. However, can't move the car & aircond also weirdly stopped working. Suspect is the gearbox problem.

The tow truck came within 60mins & towed it to SC Chan Sow Lin. Until today yet to check. Sigh. Anybody face similar problem?

Now it is in 4th year meaning it's under extended warranty, right? I have to expect longer time processes under extended warranty? Sigh. Raya Aidilfitri is one month away and hope could get replacement car by then.
