QUOTE(SKYjack @ Oct 22 2015, 11:18 PM) I think what happened is when my car broke down the last time it was due HPFP. When they changed it, I think they have a new version and they fitted the new version to my car. The new version don't seem to be compatible with our car I guess. Not very surelah bro - confused already! |

QUOTE(vknight @ Oct 22 2015, 11:00 PM) Hi It get worst when tank less than quarter. Half tank don't seem to have any problem, but when down to qaurter....then it happen! I went to Setia Alam SC and they have had seen the issue I had, just need to arrange one whole day for them to test. Will have to arrange a day thou..Why don't you write to CLIC also. So they know there is an actual problem. As per my observation, I have the pullback gentle ones when below half tank. On quarter tank pull back starts to kick in. Funny something like been programmed at this level. When, meter shows around 60KM to get, it gets worst. Car stopped twice on Tuesday. After several email, they called me today. They told me to come over when my petrol goes down so that they can test drive it. Extremely dangerous if you are driving on fast lane with quarter tank to go. When your pull gets worst...I mean at what fuel level? |

But during fast corner, I feel like the car is not very stable. And on straight line, I can't go more than 170kmj. If I do that, I already feel like loosing control of the car.springs : harder u change lesser the comfort .. anyway the turbo version suspension is good enough .. not so hard .. if no family .. i guess is ok to change it harder .. but from KL to ipoh .. need to have a stop at bidor for butt massage .. ehehehehehe |

My guess is they fitted a wrong one by mistake cos EP6CDT & EP6CDTM look exactly the same. You are the only one who has had HPFP failure after it was changed. Straight away I guessed something not right. Of course they won't admit mistake, just confuse by saying not compatible. Not very surelah bro - confused already! If not compatible, why fit it in the 1st place....... hehehe..... see how they cover up their mistake! Anyway hope your problem is solved. |

I've taken mine to 200kmh,found it very stable. Our roads are not built for such speeds, so don't recommend it. You can do a lot more to improve handling, reduce body roll for faster cornering. But remember the more stability improvements you put in, the more you sacrifice comfort. |

Dear 408 Turbo owners, can I check with you guys, when driving at 180km/h or 200km/h, what is the engine speed on "D" and 6th on manual mode?

QUOTE(vknight @ Oct 21 2015, 03:34 PM) However, still having the problem whereby when petrol is down qo quarter tank, there are minor pullbacks kicking in. What does the pullback means?By the way, i've attached a video link regarding the noise that my engine has produced. Anyone knows whats the problem with it? the noise doesn't come out everytime, its the second time that i heard the same noise coming out from the engine when the engine is hot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FU-WxC1aw8 This post has been edited by Kananana: Oct 24 2015, 03:48 PM |

QUOTE(net_mave @ Oct 13 2015, 02:04 PM) The engine was sound like diesel engine while driving. According to the technician, the chain was knocking against the cover and cannot be repair. Unfortunately that mine was just over 3 yrs and therefore no longer covered under warranty. Mine is 2013 1.6 Turbo with 5 yrs warranty..will that warranty cover me if i have the same problem..hu3...I was also being told to do the engine decarb coz the carbon buildup was quite bad. They mentioned the enhanced version of 408T engine does not really fixed the carbo build up problem but somehow delaying the buildup. Eventually it's still happened for all GDI engine. I was charged for a can of additive (RM196.00) to be added in during my next full tank fuel pump. [attachmentid=5114706] |

It is not covered in the next 2year warranty. The 2year warranty is covered by Inc Co. And it is very vague what exactly is covered. Some of us are dumping this balance 2year warranty in the toilet. If you have timing chain problem, better claim right away! |
