Hi,

Been trying to port out from maxis to celcom for the past one week. Every request made by celcom was rejected with the reason given that I am still tied to the maxis contract. Called maxis and was told there is confirmed no more pending contract with maxis.

Submitted my request again to celcom multiple times and each time it gets rejected. And the customer service at maxis isn't of any help at all. Asking me to call celcom for another request, which I did and the same problem arise.

Would appreciate if someone can solve this problem of porting out from maxis. If there is a problem with maxis system for porting in, can't they just inform the celcom side? Why must the user be the one given the run around and being the middle man in solving the problem for them?

My maxis account : 1293268023

Any help is appreciated.

Hi. It's almost the end of the month now. Still no news regarding your rectification in the porting out issue. Don't you all follow-up with regards to the initial complain? The customer needs to check for themselves regarding the status of your porting out issue?

Would appreciate if there is a reply and a plausible time frame. Not a tentative end of the month reply. It is unfair to keep customers with maxis if we have already decided to port out to other telcos

A prompt reply to this matter is of utmost importance

For those who is frustrated with the system glitch for Maxis 'port out' , you may opt to complaint to their regulator ,i.e SKMM rather than listening to their' uderstanding' for 2 weeks.

I tried to port out yesterday to change to Umobile, but my port out failed. I have a Main line and 2 sub line, when i called to maxis center they told me, "sir , you have to make your 2 sub line into 2 separate account and make it into 2 main account and i have to top up another rm 40 for each subline to make it into main line , then after all the bullshit only i can port out. WTF is that ??? i have to pay extra money to get out of some shitty expensive telco that monopolized. PLEASE MAXIS, I have been your customer for 20 years and u are giving me some shitty excuse saying ur system down and need to make main account .

MAXIS 7GB = rm 188
Umobile 7GB = rm70

thats why many of us are going away from maxis.
because of this every 1 is cursing and swearing at u .

Hi,

Been trying to port out from maxis to Digi for the past month. Every request made by Digi was rejected with the reason given was MVP system failure.

Submitted my request again to Digi multiple times and each time it gets rejected. And the customer service at maxis isn't of any help at all. Asking me to wait patiently.

Would appreciate if someone can solve this problem of porting out from maxis. If there is a problem with maxis system for porting in, can't they just inform the Digi? Why must the user be the one given the run around and being the middle man in solving the problem for them?

My maxis account : 0123xxxx32 case number is C16911237

Any help is appreciated.

Wah Lau, one month still cannot resolve the problem. If cannot do it automatically, at least do it manually one by one mar. Chinese says, Horse die already come down and walk yourself mar.

Just ported today and having exactly the same problem. Phone was on hold for more than 10 minutes each time before someone picking up. And I ask them how long the problem has been and they told me a week. Now read this forum where got a week? A MONTH LAR!

gosh, I've pre-ordered iPhone 6s from DIGI on 09.10.2015 and now cannot get my device on day 1 just because MAXIS cannot do the PORT OUT, while PORT IN IS OKAY?!!!
Judging by this situation, I don't know if my "PRE-ORDERED" device will reach me after 1 month or not.
Any other solution?

This is terrible, looks like many of us are affected by maxis's cheap tricks. Can we all work together to insist on a waiver of the pro-rated charges for the days we are forcefully held with maxis until the port out is successful? Because I am sure once they resolve the port out, they will still bill us the pro-rated charges which is not acceptable. We are still forced to use their service is because of their faulty system, which by right any pro-rated charges by them must be completely absorb by Maxis. What do you guys think about this?? If all of us complain to MCMC together, will it give a more significant impact?

got affected by Maxis unscrupulous practice too. attempted to port out few days back but was immediately rejected via SMS.

called them up the first time, told me everything is alright but second submission was rejected as well. did a third submission and called again today and now tell me system upgrade until further notice.

just lodged a complaint to MCMC too... vmad.gif

Just went to Maxis centre to find out the issue in hope that centre can actually proceed the porting. They said everything with the account is okay and there is no reason for the port out to be failed. But then they cannot help me to submit the request to port out as they are not authorized to do this. The responsibilities are with MNP department which resides in KL HQ. So they asked me to go to Digi to request for port in again. So I called DIGI hoping that they can request to submit for port in again. Then Digi CS said currently there is problem of porting between Maxis and DIGI, and asked me to wait for 30 days to resubmit porting request. As this is the pteord pre order of the iPhone, so i request digi to at least send out the device, but they responded the device can only be sent after porting is success. So i asked i need to wair for 30 days to get my preorder iPhone, they told me to call them again after two days if i didn't receive the device . This is absurd. It like beating around bushes and talking to a doll.
Just hope that MCMC can do something.

Maxis is a farked up telco. Today I went to Digi to subscribe a new postpaid for my dad, once I told the CS that I wanted to port the number she immediately informed that Maxis had been rejecting new application for the past 3 weeks. My father using hotlink for more than 10 years and yet they gave this message. Contract my arse.

Please lodge a complaint to MCMC, in hope that the more MCMC complaints received, faster that Maxis will take their arse time to fix their MNP issues instead of busy taking their sweet time to click reject on MNP.

hi guys,i succesful MNP to digi this afternoon after tons of complain to different department and scold again n again,my case settle in abot 2 weeks plus,i saw some ppl here take more than months also cant settle so assume maxis has its way to do it although "system down",just they wan it or not. For your reference, i had done several complain threw maxis email, maxis facebook ask us,cfm &skmm(mcmc).
what i can say is maxis email and facebook they will just say sorry and sorry,no matter what u ask them to explain they wil juz ignore you. So beter way is directly log complain to cfm and skmm(both together),complain the whole case, maxis need to answer back to them. But that a chance maxis representative will call u and said sory to u and update to cfm and skmm the case is resolve. So juz make another complain to cfm and skmm again and fxck what ever u like.

Maxis wont bird their customer, they kno you cant do anything no matter how u scold them and angry like mad. So the only way is complain to the authorities, and let them use their power to pressure on maxis. Maxis cant work without pressure...good luck to all of you start to type ur complain now

Thanks for the enlightenment. At least we now know that MAXIS actually has alternative way to override the system and approve on the MNP application status.
This should encourage more people to write in to CFM or MCMC to get the problem worked.
Thank you very much.

Don't forget to lodge complaints to CFM and MCMC so they will follow up. A lot of forummers suggested that Maxis won't take care of your problem seriously until they got the complaints from authorities.

Already did. This morning also had a live chat with Maxis asking about the compensation for the coming bill. They said can contact their customer service again once the bill statement is received.

has anyone check their CFM complaint update?
Complaint made last Friday (16/10/2015) and until now still pending and wait for the Maxis to acknowledge.

Attached Image

Usually it will take how long for Maxis to acknowledge and responds to the complaint?
Thanks

Hi guys, this lady called Miza called me from Maxis Customer Service Team in charge of MCMC complaints, she said that I can port out my number on Thursday. I insisted that I am not going to pay for the pro-rated charges up to the port out date because I have been trying to port out since the 1st of October, but she keeps saying that I still enjoyed Maxis service and must pay. For like 10 times I tried saying that I was forced to use the service because of your port out system problem, which u must be responsible for. But she keeps repeating that u still enjoyed maxis service, so must pay for pro-rated charges until port out is successful.

Received the same call and asked to resubmit MNP on Thursday.
Shall wait and get it to approve first then only deal with the charges.
Just hope that this time can actually port out successfully.

Or you are going to delay the restoration AGAIN?
I'm expecting to get the porting done tomorrow and get my damn iPhone which was supposed to be on my hand last Friday.

I see. I've received the SMS from DIGI claiming the MNP application has been submitted last night and until now still no feedback.
Also no message from MAXIS to ask if want to Port out or not yet.
So I guess the promise has been bounced again.

Okay I've just confirmed the MNP issue with MAXIS customer service that THEY STILL HAVEN'T RESOLVE THE MNP SYSTEM YET.

Attached Image

This is just so MAXIS.

Just update CFM and request CFM to take further action against Maxis for repeating using delay tactics to fool us consumers.

I have been submitting request through digi to my maxis since last Friday.

And every single damn time, Digi says porting out is unsuccessful because Maxis says i am still contracted to them.

I called Maxis countless times and told them that i have paid all the penalties and they acknowledged that i am NOT in any of their contracts.

As usual, they continue claiming that their porting out system is not working and still in the process of fixing it.

I personally believe this is tactic for Maxis to stop its customers from leaving them LEGITIMATELY.

This is rubbish.

good morning, just back to Malaysia yesterday evening. Here to update my case.
Already successfully ported out on 22/10/2015 evening around 2 hours later after I updated my complaint lodge on CFM requesting CFM to take further action against MAXIS. Then the very next day when I was boarding the plane to overseas, MAXIS sincerely called me to confirm the port out and URGENTLY said that they will update their case with the CFM by stating the case is solved.

So, to those who still have issues with MNP, please keep update your complain lodge with CFM.

At long last MNP complete earlier today. Definitely the most problematic MNP process that I've ever gone through.

Like arbelnox suggested, if still not resolved better update the complaints otherwise Maxis gonna keep dragging their feet.

Interesting, I thought it was just me until I saw this thread.

Here is my case:

First MNP request - ended without even receiving confirmation SMS from Maxis

Second request after 12days - received confirmation from Maxis, replied YES, another Maxis SMS came in after 9hrs telling that they did not receive my confirmation, port out request failed. Great, I have to visit shop again to request for MNP.

Attached Image

Lodged a case with Maxis . Hope this is not some dirty moves trying to lock customer down with them. I wonder if we will be compensated with the loss of missing the promo deadline from other telcos.

this is ridiculous

my supplementary line is on the different account of my principle line. what a joke.

now after call up with a much helpful CS, i went to digi centre again to request them to submit request to port over again

this time, i get the confirmation request to port over almost instantly after digi submit it.

funny thing is, when I call to request to separate my number to another account, they did not tell me that my this particular number got a supplementary line under it

when I live chat with a CS asking can I request to port out now after I separate my number to another line, the CS told me that I can

now I just hope everything goes fine this time

Their strategy
1) Do not come out with cheaper plan that compete with other telco, existing customer continue to pay higher price. - Good for Maxis.
2) Give huge discount to maintain the non-loyal customer (who are porting out) - to maintain customer number.
3) Loyal customers who stay end up paying same price (higher price than non-loyal customer) - Good for Maxis annual revenue report.

This strategy only good for Maxis and non-loyal customer.
Loyal customers will be mad if found out these are true, so Maxis remain silence and only counter offer those who want to port out.

So why be a loyal customer where non-loyal customer has more benefit than u?

Been using Maxis for the past 10 years. Paying RM 50 for 2gb Internet doesn't make any sense now.

Sad that I have to leave them after 10 years but glad that I've switch to another telco.

Why would you want to stay with a telco carrier that does not even bother about their loyal customers? This should have been offered to customers who have been with Maxis for a long time - not for customers who wished to port out.

Agreed! Please stop supporting this kind of thing. If they do not want to offer something like others telco, at least give a free upgrade to loyal customers that have been with them for the past few years.

I knew they will offered an upgrade but I still insisting of switching. vmad.gif

guys, dont bother to call in maxis and ask for that special offer or what. They not going to offer you anyway. It's a waste of time as they already have been receiving too many calls from customers to get that offer. If they keep offer customers, soon it's going to "burst".

Good for those who received this offer, bad for those who are still paying the "premium" price.

Almost 20 years down the road: never change number, never change telco. I am just a fucking retard for still using Maxis.

Shall switch to other Telcos within the next few days.

yes, but it has no contract, you can port to another telco anytime you want. Even after 2 years, you can still subscribe to other better plan right? so there is no harm taking the offer.

Today get call from them.
They offer me
RM68 for 5GB or RM88 for 7GB with unlimited call
RM158 for 5GB or RM188 for 7GB with unlimited call with two years contract and get free Note 5.

i gonna accept the first offer when they call me tomorrow

Between I just use maxis for 8 years and for past one year my monthly usage for whole account is above RM500 and classified as Maxis One Club Elite

My wife and I just submitted to port out from Maxis to Celcom. We are Maxis users since the year 2000 while we were both still students. Blind loyalty to telcos does not reward us - so we are moving on. Sad, but it's for the best

My wife and I just submitted to port out from Maxis to Celcom. We are Maxis users since the year 2000 while we were both still students. Blind loyalty to telcos does not reward us - so we are moving on. Sad, but it's for the best

Ya, Maxis force their customer to do this. You see their price offer to his customer will know.

May I ask that, how was the celcom internet speed so far you have experienced? I am quite interesting with the celcom plan but wonder the condition of internet speed offer my celcom. The thing concern to me is.

I have always used 2 telcos for the past 8 years - Maxis personal phone, and Celcom company phone. For the last 5 years, I used iPhone for Maxis and Android for Celcom. Some observations:

Celcom has better data stability in Johor Bahru compared to Maxis (using speedtest)
Celcom has faster 4G speeds in Johor Bahru compared to Maxis (using speedtest)
Celcom has a problem with 3G>H>H+>4G signal changing - never noticed this with Maxis
Both Celcom and Maxis has EXTREMELY slow GPRS and EDGE connections especially at rural areas.

You should just try and change to Celcom Gold Plan - or U Mobile or DiGi for that matter. There is no contract, so if you don't like it, you can port back out to other operators.

Lol, 1 moc elite staying (rm500/mth) vs 4 moc select porting out (rm150x4=rm600/mth), who win?

The best thing is, they release rm158 maxisone user, but they counter offer rm50 surfmore user for rm68 plan.
Lost rm158/mth and get profit rm18/mth.

Good job maxis.

So typical of maxis.
I tried to terminate my sub number so that I can port out my main number. But they keep delaying the deactivation process by upgrading my sum number plan (really stupid) and delaying the whole process. Damn frustrated with MaxShit. Get your priorities straight damn it!

guys,

never trust maxis for whatever reasons they gave you on porting out issues.
this happens since last year 2015 June.

If you think carefully, how can a big company cannot resolve such a simple porting out system.
they try to drag until you give up. If they made it simple and easy, just imagine how many customers go out base on the current super expensive plan they have right now?
furthermore, they are offering Sarawak and Sabah better plan because they know the users there are not that much compare to west.

really f up this stupid company. if you hold their shares...please sell.

if you think in the other way. how come they can upgrade your plan so efficient? no system errors?

they actually fool those uncles and aunties.

this is my recent experience :
That will be pain in the ass process, below is my recent experience.

on 16 call maxis asking them how much i need to pay so i can port out my line, as they reply rm 258 due to phone contract, agree than pay - > fail to pork out, cause now they said i have out standing credit.

0n 18 -> settle that balance 400 (i paid extra), than port out, fail again, they said i have 2 sub line under my account, in fact i have no sub line, call them again and ask they said i change my sub line to this account last month (which i never), they said they will solve it for me.

20-03 port out fail again -> call cs -> they said no problem, should be able to port out.
22-03 port out fail again -> call cs -> samething
24-03 port out fail again -> call cs -> they said i have two subline under my account, ask them when they said i change in dec 2015 (last couple day said i change in feb 2016), they said solve for me.
25-03 port out fail again -> call CS and FARK (11am) them until their manager call back -> he told me is sub line issue but they can't help cause tech support is off duty and they don't work on weekend, so have to be next monday only can solve.

take me nearly ten day all payment paid but still can't pork out.

I have 4 line with Maxis, 2 main and 2 sub, at first i just try to port out one of my main line to other telco so i can try others coverage .... but after this incident, i porting out all 4 line, cause they really piss me off

Maxis has better coverage and speed in my area but why should I pay so much more?
Celcom is totally usable and I'm happy with what I'm paying for. icon_rolleyes.gif

1. Pay penalty fee to cancel contract
2. Go other telco to sign new package. They will help u request for port out.
3. Once ur old simcard is deactivate. Change to new telco simcard

no thats not how they calculate. say for example my case, i am on 158 plan, still got 6 months before contract up, my penalty is 400+

i am guessing the penalty work something like total commitment x remaining contract months / 2 = penalty

pay penalty & go umobile apply mnp.. Maxis normally give 1 or 2 months before they 'sell' your number to someone else.. They give chance if u suddenly change your mind to stay..

pay the penalty

then go to orange
mnp with them

in the meantime, what is the status of my number?
cant be use?
cant call or receive call?

thats essentially my concern/question

Not happy? Simple, just port out! So many choices to choose these days.

Nah done my homework for you;

U-Mobile P70 - Rm70, 7GB+8GB Data, Unlimited Calls
Celcom First Gold - Rm80, 5GB+5GB Data, Unlimited Calls & SMS, Carry Forward Unused Internet.
DiGi Postpaid 98 - Rm78, 7GB, Unlimited Calls, Carry Forward 2GB.

I went for DiGi- good coverage in my area, fits my budget and data usage and free Spotify streaming! Seriously Maxis is this only telco still charging people for calls wtf.

ported out to celcom a month and never been happier to see my bill is less than RM100..(to be exact is RM76 autodebit) best part brought forward 2GB of my 10GB...
if you asked me about the LTE speed compared to maxis...i am getting constant 20mbps in klang valley...3g i am getting 2-6mbps..
the most relaxing part is i dont have to see the length of the video before clicking the load button. (this part win all)
