Try to get dual band router with AC capability.
Do remember TM has plan to upgrade further next year (100Mbps).

Router will have peformance degradation as well. ;) . Flash bad sector causing usable sector to be lower, chipset degradation.

Should be more than RM 1k+.
For those who want to get better specification can try Dlink's products.
Dlink 890L AC3200 can get for RM 1,020 in Jayacom.

This router already reported to have problem keeping up with 30mbps, don't expect a good result on 50mbps

Got a call from Tmnet offering me to upgrade to 30mbps/rm179. I just upgraded to vip 10 from vip 5 about few months ago...
And best, my contract was backdated when I upgraded to vip10 before.😋

on cable, speed no problem at all....and wifi devices just 1 feet away should be no problem....but recommended to change with better router...i plan to change better router also. i think u already know dir615 will hang from time to time...need to restart each time it hang.

Over LAN,  no problem.

Over Wifi, it depends on the signal. Don't expect 30Mbps when the signal  is just 1 bar. wink.gif

Over WiFi all the time blush.gif
Most N devices, few AC devices.

So coming back here, did those who were waiting out on symmetrical speeds just take the jump for 30/5? I'm still on the fence with VIP20 @ RM219 :/

I face the same problem occasionally, especially at night.

I am using IPv6 here, perhaps some issues with IPv6 routing?

Not sure if those users NOT using IPv6 has the same problem, coz Facebook is IPv6 enabled & it will be used by default if available.

Tried google dns and default automatic dns still the same. Facebook is perfectly fine with smartphone and ipad on the same wifi. Only home, office desktop PC and laptop have problem.. using cable and wireless too.

I think it happen on last week, before that i have no problem at all. Sorry, no idea what is IPv6 but in the network setting IPv6 and IPv4 are set to automatic. Only know how to change to google dns in IPv4 sweat.gif

Run troubleshoot multiple times on the network then it show up either one of these problem:
-Trouble shooting could not find any problem
-Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy
-Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding
-Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resources (wpad.WirelessAP) is not responding
