So I just received my email and got confirmation that I have been upgraded to 50Mbps.
Any good router to suggest that can allow me to get maximum speed? My computer is about 3 meters away from the router. My current router (RT-12) allow up to 25Mbps only. |

QUOTE(jusbella @ Oct 12 2015, 05:45 PM) RT-N12? That is 300mbps speed. Does not really help though, still getting 25Mbps after I set the channel to "N" only.802.11b : 1, 2, 5.5, 11Mbps 802.11g : 6,9,12,18,24,36,48,54Mbps 802.11n : up to 300Mbps After all u need check ur wireless chipset. If u are on G/N den try set different channel see which one better speed |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Oct 12 2015, 06:36 PM) I recommend getting a Wireless AC router. It depends on your budget. Would you be able to let us know why RT 12 despite being rated for 300Mbps bandwidth, cannot cope up with 50Mbps? After reading from previous few posts I already know my router is limited to maximum 30Mbps only (even before I upgrade). You can take a look at the list I compiled. http://www.blacktubi.com/unifi/unifi-repla...nt-router-list/ Just want to know. |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Oct 12 2015, 06:48 PM) Theoretical throughput =/= real life performance. Thanks.http://www.speedguide.net/faq/what-is-the-...of-wireless-374 So after doing some magic with the router, I manage to hit 30Mbps. |

Lol wtf just upgraded few days and TM rolling out cheaper 50Mbps package. That's really trolling on TM's side for early adopters.

Basically, people who upgraded before 15 October are guinea pigs (me included)...
Now my package is RM 20 more expensive every month compared to those who subscribed today. What is this marketing crap? |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Oct 17 2015, 01:34 PM) I'm on Unifi Advance 30, which I upgraded to from my previous Unifi10 when they called me about one or two months ago. I think I'm paying RM 229 before GST monthly... god knows how to comprehend their bill, it's embarrassing how confusing and cluttered it looks. Report to SKMM and TM. Many have been able to get the new price. Anyway I see that the current promotion is RM 209 for my package... how do I get the promotion price? Surely I'm not being penalized RM20 per month just because I signed up earlier? Actually from what I know you can just drop by TM and ask to upgrade to the new package. |

Just go TM Point and ask about it. They probably subscribe you to the newer plan but contract renew another 24 months.

I was considering between AC87U and end up buying Dlink 890L since they are more or less the same price with the 890L being superior.
