Anyone still facing slow internet speed from Apple Apps Store? Jesus it's going to take 17 hours to finish downloading a 7GB file on a 20Mbps connection.

So I just received my email and got confirmation that I have been upgraded to 50Mbps.

Any good router to suggest that can allow me to get maximum speed? My computer is about 3 meters away from the router. My current router (RT-12) allow up to 25Mbps only.

RT-N12? That is 300mbps speed.

802.11b : 1, 2, 5.5, 11Mbps
802.11g : 6,9,12,18,24,36,48,54Mbps
802.11n : up to 300Mbps

After all u need check ur wireless chipset. If u are on G/N den try set different channel see which one better speed smile.gif
*
Does not really help though, still getting 25Mbps after I set the channel to "N" only.

I recommend getting a Wireless AC router. It depends on your budget. smile.gif

You can take a look at the list I compiled. http://www.blacktubi.com/unifi/unifi-repla...nt-router-list/
*
Would you be able to let us know why RT 12 despite being rated for 300Mbps bandwidth, cannot cope up with 50Mbps? After reading from previous few posts I already know my router is limited to maximum 30Mbps only (even before I upgrade).

Just want to know. smile.gif

Thanks.
So after doing some magic with the router, I manage to hit 30Mbps.

package is 30mbps dl, but never goes beyond 20 mbps.... miscap right ?  hmm.gif  or are other getting a similar result to US server ?

only rare instances i get 30mbps dl is local download or peering.

Try doing a speedtest with LAN cable. It could be the WiFi that is limiting your network.

Basically, people who upgraded before 15 October are guinea pigs (me included)...
Now my package is RM 20 more expensive every month compared to those who subscribed today.

What is this marketing crap? vmad.gif

I'm on Unifi Advance 30, which I upgraded to from my previous Unifi10 when they called me about one or two months ago. I think I'm paying RM 229 before GST monthly... god knows how to comprehend their bill, it's embarrassing how confusing and cluttered it looks.

Anyway I see that the current promotion is RM 209 for my package... how do I get the promotion price? Surely I'm not being penalized RM20 per month just because I signed up earlier?
*
Report to SKMM and TM. Many have been able to get the new price.
Actually from what I know you can just drop by TM and ask to upgrade to the new package.

Did they? hmm.gif
If you are an existing 30Mbps or 50Mbps, if they ask you to drop by most likely will honour you the RM 20 discount.
*
Most likely they require your signature to upgrade from 30Mbps to the new 30Mbps package. laugh.gif

Just go TM Point and ask about it. They probably subscribe you to the newer plan but contract renew another 24 months.

Yes, I'm using VPN to download my apps from Apps Store as well. laugh.gif

Anyway, after the RM 20 discount fiasco ends, we will need to get SKMM involvement for slow Apps Store and Facebook issue.
*
Got your discount already?

I was considering between AC87U and end up buying Dlink 890L since they are more or less the same price with the 890L being superior.

Guys, how's your unifi connection at night?
Kimda worried when I see other users complain slow every night
About to upgrade to unifi this weekend

Really depends on the area.
UniFi has been quite good these few years in my area. Not much to complain about.

Torrent at full speed. thumbup.gif
