It's the same as mine. I was told when I upgraded mine in July, I will lose my free calls. Looks like it was there all this while.
I will check with CS soon if mine comes with free calls, not that it matters to me because I never install my phone but curiosity kills the cat. laugh.gif

same case here. I was told by agents it didn't comes with free calls after the upgraded to 30mbps 2 months ago..
But i checked mine occ, same with you guys..i have that residential voice..
I also seldom use the house phone..nvm, i will just test it out by calling back to hometown fixed line these few days, and next month will know the result. tongue.gif

besides, regarding the rm20 discount, can I visit those shopping mall tm shop instead of the tm point? I upgraded mine to 30mpbs at that tm shop(mid valley)..I think they are agent. Or they are directly under TM which can access and submit through the system? That time when I upgraded to 30mbps, they able to upgrade it within 1 hr..Filled up the form to them at 9pm, restart modem at 10pm++ and immediately get 30mpbs, they are very efficient, hence I think they can access into TM system?

Mine looks exactly like yours, but I am still curious as to whether that actually means we have the free calls thrown in without being charged RM20.

'Residential Voice' probably just means that there's a line with a number - I.e. VOIP.  Isn't exactly clear if calls are charged or not. Doesn't actually say anywhere that there was a RM20 waived for the Voice Pack of 600mins.

It's late. Paranoia creeping in  blink.gif

I would actually be interested to see the OCC bundle screens of someone who explicitly opted into the Voice Pack and someone who explicitly opted out of it.

This should mean free call included I think .

Those are agents. They have access into the TM system, and can help you with straightforward ordinary applications and upgrades, but they can't with more complex and special cases like negotiating addons. They don't have the authority to approve discounts and bundle adjustments.

I'd just go with the official TM personnel at TMpoints and possibly their roadshows.

thanks for the comment...then I have to purposely drive to UTC during weekends already..:-(
quite hate to visit such kind of gov cusotmer service center, always have to wait very long, their processing speed is slower than turtle!!!
Anybody went to ask for special discount at UTC recently? just tell them want to get that 20 discount and fill up form only? and roughly how long have you wait in the queue list?

Ahh ok, it's hiding in the Bundle VAS screen. Entirely my fault for not checking deeper down. Just expected it to be on the Bundle summary screen right under the 'Unifi Special Discount RM20'.

Thanks.

Yes, I found it. Thanks.

Up until then, I just had the word of the TMpoint supervisor. Now, it's black and white.

Now, I just hope they don't renege on the new equipment he promised to give me on Monday.

Yeah, mine wasn't a straightforward case, and the main reason why I went to TMpoint and ended up needing to speak to a supervisor there.

I wanted to retain my number and free calls due to it being for my home office. I also wanted new equipment since mine is from the first batch of Unifi. At first, the frontline customer service personnel just said no outright claiming, like you said, it was for new subscribers only. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, and then told him quite firmly to check my account details where it showed my equipment was more than 4 years old, and can be assumed to have due wear and tear. I also pointed out that I have a flawless payment record all these years, which I think clinched it.

Frankly, I already have a replacement 3rd party router, but I intend to swap back in the crappy DIR-615 before the Unifi guy arrives on Monday. I also heard the new routers are terrible and worse than the DIR-615 anyway, but it's always nice to have a spare one to 'zombify' into a switch/AP.

But I do need a new HyppTV STB, though. My current one is dead as a doornail after years of neglect due to the poor quality of HyppTV programme offerings tongue.gif

No harm trying now.

Just tell them that since you're tied down for a fresh 2-year contract, it's like you are a new subscriber anyway... and it would be unfair if your current 'used and worn' equipment were to fail within your new contract period. After all, you could have just as easily started a fresh subscription and get new equipment, and then cancelled your old one. It's not like you are tied down for a shorter period than a new subscriber.

Finally applied for VIP5, basically I only need the basic TV package and free phone calls. It will be phased out after 31st Oct.
Anyway, does the latest STB support wifi connections?

Yup, that was exactly what I did. Apply new one and get new equipments, only then terminate the old one smile.gif

Wah, so many still active in the AM hours.

Not working or schooling? Ha.

Waiting for so many days now, I am cursing TM Marketing for not calling me though I have called 100.

Maybe just pay for the RM20 voice option?

perhaps those that have seamless experience can share their latest equipment besides the new white STB? Does BTU plays a role here? As my equipment is ageing as one of the subscribers here, up to 4 years. My current BTU is the white creamy one, if I'm not wrong produced by Alcated. So is it true that the current router perform worst than DIR-615? What is the current latest router being provided by TM?

Mine is the Alcatel equipment which is said not good, but so far works well for me. I also added another router as an Access Point.
